I'm including everything except shoes in my budget because I want to see how much I really spend, so I included some walking gear and a motorbike jacket earlier on. I think it's up to you because only you know your reasons for joining this challenge, and what you want to gain from it?

Thanka for the feedback (RosaB too :D) My main weakness isn't sports related wear (pretty well highlighted by the fact one of my gym tops is from 2007) so I'm going to exclude fitness wear and performance outfits from my budget, but still keep a note of what I spend on them. My 'fallen angel' goth dress came today for the photoshoot next week, it needs a few alterations I think - bit too long to be pratical for pole, and might need some nips and tucks to make it fit round my waist as it was a 'one size fits 8 - 14' type (not sure how that works but hey ho) anyway, hope it will look ok on film.

    Evening Peeps :)

Hope everyone is enjoying this mini heatwave. Lovely isn't it?

Sorry have been awol from thread for a while - but I have been good and not bought anything new in aggggggeeeeessssss! Well probably at least 6 weeks anyway!

I have though decided to have a really good sort through of the stuff I own that I bought second hand in the first place- these are the clothes that are starting to look a bit tired, because I have worn them so much not because they were second hand! They will be sent on for either recycling or charity.

I need to be able to give space back to clothes I want to wear - I could just get another(2nd hand!) wardrobe, but that defeats the object - if I can see what I have I will wear it -clothes stuffed into spaces and crammed in make it difficult to choose or put outfits together.

Also for some reason I have accumulated loads of skinny jeans -think some are DD x 2 from the washing/ironing pile but if they are not and I know some are hand me ups from them -then they are going!!! I don't need 6 pairs of black or charcoal jeans!

I had released a cotton tunic and cotton cardi today so lovely freedom clothes.

Like others on here, I will have to change over from winter to summer clothing on the next bank hols.

Right O time for me to wonder off and see what I free up for tomorrow!

Well I have finally spent money on clothes this year :j

Went to Primarni on Friday with DH, bought socks and thongs for me, socks and boxers for him total £20. Then La Senza 2 bras for £20. Then a wee pair of flat shoes from MrA's for £10 today, so £50 in total.

TBH I don't know where I got the £50 from cos we are skint, but when your knickers have holes in them and your hubbies boxers aren't erm... holding him in, then you find the money somewhere :rotfl::rotfl:

Can't think of anything smart to put here...
  • I would like to be able to say I have just spent some money on a nice top or something.

No, I spent £9.50 on much needed and very exciting socks and tights at the weekend! Maybe should have held out a bit longer as I have just pulled my sandals out of the wardrobe.

Anyway, now at £23.50 / £100 so quite pleased.

Although my sandals are looking a bit too tatty for work and I really do like my birkenstocks, but that will be over half the budget in one go... Have to have a think about that.... Suppose they do last for ages, these ones have been lived in all summer for several years.

    Hey everyone,

sorry I've not been in for a long time, busy with work, garden & family - but all good stuff :)

Hello & welcome to thatlemming :hello: it's never too late here :D

Not spent any more money (that I can remember) but am taking DD shopping tomorrow to buy some short sleeved school blouses, so I may well find something I want. Pale / cropped trousers are needed for this gorgeous weather

Not going to stress about it though - might just double my budget to £200 though :o:rotfl:

Decided to have a huge clear out today after releasing more summery stuff from the trunk & finally feeling brave enough to put all woolly items in there !

I'm being ruthless; so far I've ejected 2 dresses, 2 skirts, 4 pairs of jeans, 2 pairs of shoes, 2 tops, 1 belt & 2 bags all to be charitized, there may well be more

Yep, there's more - 2 jumpers, nothing wrong with them, they're just not 'perfectly loved' so out they go.

I keep watching that 'hoarder next door' show & it freaks me into having a clear out !

A shopping trip to the Trafford Centre last night = a new dress and a t-shirt from Debs (+ a new shirt, shorts, swimming shorts and shoes for DH = £85 but he ytoo has lost weight and deserved some new clothes even though he has a wardrobe full of clothes he can slim into) the dress was a size 20 and fit everywhere :T as was the t-shirt. £63 spent on me but DH is buying me the dress as a birthday pressie and mum is giving me some money for my birthday for clothes so, I'm going to claim them towards my total (as I want to know how much is spent on my clothes and would probably have succumbed and bought them myself anyway) but add a note to remind me I didn't actually spend all of the budget...does that make sense? It does in my head but looks gobbledegook typed out :rotfl:
