Hello & welcome to all our new challengers,
Kellyjelly27, debbiedebt, hismissus, WelshDreamer, quintwins, Xandersmum, Pickle_99_uk, Hiddenidentity, thriftwizard & hello & welcome back to lotti379
Regarding budgets; you can change your budgets whenever you like; I keep a list of members & their budgets on the second post of the first page, & can change this for you if necessary - either post in bold colour or send me a pm - but I don't keep a record of, or update all your spends, so you will probably like to display that in your signatures ... it'll help you remember what you have left & keeps you in check when everyone can see

Go to the 'User CP' tab in the green bar above your post, then in the drop down list on the left hand side you'll see a heading 'edit signature', just type away in there - it has to be 5 lines or less - & then hit the 'save signature' button.
Hope that's clear enough
Now in return, please could you explain to me why, when I'm drinking the most calorific drink ( Baileys), the only nibble I fancy to go with it is a ridiculoulsy highly calorific highland shortbread biccie ???
Hello & welcome to darwins_mum & kdalwayskint

Hi, can you put me down for £150 im relatively new to all this and I'm not sure what my last year's spend would have been but i have a lot of new Christmas pressies and have cleared out lots of stuff i dont wear so i know exactly what i have in my wardrobe and i know i dont really need a lot. Being more organised has made me realise that I was buying stuff i didn't need and stuffing my wardrobes full whereas now I can see what i have and what matches etc so I can coordinate stuff much better and it takes less time to get dressed in the mornings lol
good luck everyone and Happy NY!! moggy :j

Me too please! Joined last year but fell off the wagon and never quite recovered. Oops:o
Will go for a realistic £250 to include everything - underwear, sports stuff, shoes. The lot.
Going to have a mass sort out in wardrobe once everyone back to work/school next week and liberate some items0 -
Can I count wearing an old pair of slippers as a freedom day?! I got new slippers for xmas but I have put them away and dug out my old ones to wear through first. This clothes budget is going to be tight, I am already starting with the sales shopping itch and it isn't even 2012 yet!0

another freedom day for me, dug a thin greeny wool jumper out and a pair of jeans i'd forgotten i had. Jeans are abit too tight so they could end up on ebay. I like the jumper though! Was debt free then ex walked out and COVID hit.0

Been and spent £10.50 on new trainer socks and two sports bras in As*a as am going to lose weight and become fit in the new year(she says in a very determined voice !)But that is it- not going near the sales as too much temptation! Do a lot of my clothes shopping i charity shops anyway so hopefully the money will last me!"Sealed Pot challenge" member No 1099 2011/£26.00:j

I rediscovered a black Austin Reed dress with front pleats and a tie belt at the waist in a bit of a pinafore style. Shamefully I have never ever worn this and I've had it for about 6yrs and I think it still has the tags on. I found it yesterday in my pile of to fleabay clothing.
I might wear it if I can find something to wear underneath it, guess it should fit by now. Not sure how it will look but it was a surprise to find it which means I might have a brand new Freedom outfit! How shameful to find this never worn! Mind you I have another couple of dresses the same but they did not cost anywhere near the price of this one. One might come in for work in the summer and one could be if I ever go on a summer holiday!final unsecured debt to repay currently £8333Proud to be Dealing With my DebtDFW Nerd 1154 Long Haul 1550 -

If you're looking for dresses keep an eye out in Primark, last year I got a gorgeous maxi dress (kind of brown and black aztec type markings with little gold discs all round the neck) for £17. Everyone has commented on it - was looking for one for ages and it's by far the nicest I tried (including ones for £40-odd )
I also got a cut little black tea dress with birds printed on it and 3/4 sleeves there not long ago. Again it was £17 but i've had tons of comments about that one too.
Admittedly some of their stuff is total carp, like that flaming lemon dress they had last year which was impossible to get into without being to apparate a la Harry Potter style.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16
