End of the month and I now have £480 left which is my savings for the year.....:)
What do we do when we fall? We get up, dust ourselves off and start walking in the right direction again. Perhaps when we fall, it is easy to forget there are people along the way who help us stand and walk with us as we get back on track.
  • Another £24 from Ebay, voucher from Mr T and some overtime has boosted my savings by £153 this week, which is great, but my weight has done its usual weekly 2lb yo yo and ended up the same as before which is not so great..... onwards and upwards (no, not the weight, just the money!)

It turns out the answer to my problems wasn’t at the bottom of this tub of ice-cream, 🍨 but the important thing is that I tried...

It's quite amazing coming back on here after a long time away and reading all the highs and lows - everyone on here deserves massive respect for their endeavours. I'm pretty much back to square one but have had my inspiration re-ignited by you lot. Only have 28 days til MrsBloater's mother's scowling face of judgement will look at me like I'm something she's trod in - so whilst I'm sitting here in post-Ofsted revelry (revelry being a complete exaggeration - a halfprice bottle of red and some discount salt n vinegar crisps - I know how to party hard) I am planning a return to form and I salute all of you (who unlike me) have kept on with the journey all the way from the start.

Lost 1 measly pound after near starvation.

Also gained some meagre savings via topcashback, some money off coupons and points redeemed. I received my £200 from switching accounts and I had a rebate from BT. I also ordered the mug as per mse's email and so saved myself 7.99 on a Mothering Sunday gift. Me? Tight? Nah!!! All added to sig. If it's only 28 days 'til Mr B's MIL arrives, then that means we're near the end of the challenge and I'm not going to make the targets :( If only I could motivate myself to ebay and the mess and effort that entails.

No, it's till the end of April, so we have an extra month to not lose any weight :rotfl:
A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

Welcome back Mr B - well done on surviving Ofsted: do I take it you more than survived as you are not breathing fire or hanging on by your fingernails? (I haven't caught up properly so my apologies if I'm missing something).

We had a couple of days' mini-break which was fantastic but sadly my weight decided to go up despite walking miles... I'll do a formal check tomorrow but right now I'm back where I started. :(

I did, however, save a whole 20p on yesterday's food shopping so I shall add that to my signature. :)

I've tried out a couple of exercise classes but given up because the other ladies there were all younger, thinner and fitter than me and I felt really out of place.

This is absolutely how I feel. I'm 24 and overweight and self conscious and live in an area where everybody is posh/rich/beautiful. I think I need a friend in the same situation as me so that I have a partner in crime to push me along to the exercise classes and ensure I go again.

So, I'm considering joining We1ght Watch3rs - anybody here go to meetings?

You've been on the journey all the way - even when you were missing from the thread you were still in the background inspiring me and many others. Without you we wouldn't even have got started. Thank you so much Mr B
