Hi Mr B, I have been really rubbish on the weight loss part (and not great with the money part either!!) Sometimes life just gets in the way...

On a lighter note I braved the scales on Friday and am 11 stone 1lb so have finally lost another 2lb!

    Hi guys
Sorry for being missing in action. I had tonsilitis 3 weeks ago, and it wiped me out for a week. And then for the next two weeks, I have been SO tired. There have been a couple of nights where I have gone to bed before the kids ! So glad my OH has been here to pick up the slack a bit.

However I weighed myself this morning and was stunned to see I was 11st 7lb:beer::beer: and I haven't even been doing any of this :j:j:j!

    So woop woop for that.

Can't think of any money saving just at the moment, the last two weeks have been a blur in that respect. Will have to look at my spreadsheet.

I want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

2 lb and £25.48 in savings and vouchers on shopping with Mr T.:T

I have a couple of old mobiles to sell but need to find out how to reset to factory settings first - I'm a bit thick with such things and wouldn't normally bother. However, Mazuma are offering £55 for one of DH's old phones so it's worth exhausting my brain cells for!

I have a special offer for rejoining Rosemary C. It's the only place I don't mind exercising because there are people there of all shapes and sizes and at various stages of losing weight. However, can I justify spending on the weekly fee when I have exercise DVDs in the cupboard (some still in their wrappers) and countless diet books? Or will the weekly weigh in keep me on track. I feel so unhappy with my weight and avoid socialising, dread being seen by anyone who knew me slim, and can't stand the thought of job interviews even though I NEED to get back to work. I've lost some weight but still got about 4.5 to 5 stone to go......AND I AM 40 THIS YEAR

Cocalls, I've just seen your post. Can you let me know how it goes please?!

    Thank you!

hiya i highly recommend it I was going last year and lost 2lb shy of 2st it is very good if you like diets to be flexible as you can eat what you like as long as you keep to your points quota. Ive put 6.5lbs back on so i know i need a little help. There's free registration and 1st meeting free vouchers around somewhere.

Do it, sod the cost make cut backs elsewhere if your weight is making you so miserable as that you need the help and support of a meeting. I tried Rosemary c and liked the excercie part of it but couldn't stick to the under 5% fat rule so prefer ww.

Oh and in other news I had to throw some underwear away today........ because it was TOO BIG, and not because it was worn out. The bit of me that wants to be slimmer is :j:j, but the bit of me that is MSE :money:, was a bit :eek::eek:

So, I'm considering joining We1ght Watch3rs - anybody here go to meetings?

I went to weightwatchers at 11.11 and got down to 10.10 with a mixture of meetings and online. I think it's an excellent programme. For me it took away a lot of the psychological issues with food, i.e., I've broken my diet so s*d it. You have points for each day and then a weekly points allowance so any slip-ups are nicely caught up in the weekly points. You also have unlimited fruit and veg so it's healthy. I have no other slimming clubs to compare it against and I personally couldn't get over the fact someone was profiting from my misery so I gave it up!! There was a great mix of ages, sizes and about half came alone and half with others. There was a nice supporting atmosphere which shocked an old misanthrope like me :D I really liked the online tracker tools and the little stars when you achieved certain goals, yes, I liked school!!! In the end I really couldn't afford it, that's the main reason I finished with it.

Anyhow, I blipped over Christmas and New Year but I'm back to 10.10 and quite fired up and with the support of this thread. Plus, we have to keep going for Mr B.

It's really upset me this talk of I can't go here or there 'cos I'm fat. You all sound like me. It's shocking to see it written down. I've been thin and I've been fat and I always feel like everyone is looking at me down the gym! I absolutely detest it, but I make myself go because I feel so much fitter for it. Anyway, a good long walk costs nothing and if you wrap up in a coat no-one notices you do they? Perhaps we should all start walking! Let us reclaim the streets....where is Mr B with his rallying cry?
