"Buyer gets dispatched email"
Possibly pulled the orders in bulk followed by being marked as dispatched (which triggers the email) and then in the process notices the mistake? If the seller marked as dispatch yesterday (being a Sunday) it obviously wasn't going in the post. I marked orders as dispatched yesterday, and changed the message to say "ready to go tomorrow", this wasn't to deceive anyone, it was because there is only so much time in one day so I did some work yesterday to ensure everything could go in today's post.
But of course you've already stated your opinion of large sellers, so it's completely pointless discussing this with you because the seller is apparently clearly out rip the buyer off rather than made an honest mistake. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -
Sometimes in the real world mistakes happen? Like a plumber that doesnt have the right tools turns up?0

" So power sellers can blame automated reponses on items not really dispatched but marked as such..."
And yet more biased twaddle... See above for why.
"anyway to see if the seller has done this before? seems like a bait and switch.."
Bait and switch is usually offer something else instead rather than ask for extra. In the game of chess you can never let your adversary see your pieces0 -

But of course you've already stated your opinion of large sellers,
If it was a private seller I would say exactly the same.
Feedback is to let everyone else know how your buying experience was.
If it wasn't good then let people know.
Don't tippy-toe about worrying about it.
Too many dodgy sellers get away with it... Private or Power Sellers..
Contact seller first, if you don't come to a satasfactory outcome then NEG

You will normally find that the plumbers have the right tools...
But turn up with the wrong parts for the job
But..
Until you have seen the job you can't be 100% certain what is normally needed from the customers description0 -
but surely a buyer should expect better, that would be a "negative experience" ? would you think a customer writing a "negative" article in your local newspaper under that plumbers advert as fair?0

If it was fair and just then yes...
But this is eBay and not the local newspaper
But say for example you rang and said my heating isnt working..
Could be time clock, pump, motorized valve, system sludged, boiler part needed, ball valve stuck, system out of pressure, new boiler needed, Any number of thingsyou can't carry everything..
I have been called to change sink taps and when I get to the job the sink is in the bathroom... NO IT ISNT... that is a basin
But this is getting very off topic...
When the seller listed this item they had all the facts... FACT
Then they had the chance to check the listing was ok... FACT
However.. it got marked dispatched when it wasn't... FACT
Failed.. FACT
Private seller, power seller, business seller flower seller, whatever seller..
At the end of the day....
However the buyer feels about their experience they should let this be known...
and shout it from the rooftops :T0 -
I only read the first few words, sorry, kinda like a neg on ebay?0

touche :rotfl:
So a factual neg like...
Paid, Marked dispatched, Seller wanted more money, Seller cancelled, Not sent!!!
That would get ignored & wont matter anyway0
