OP from the completed listings or feedback, can you see whether the seller has sold any of these before & for how much?
  • " Too many dodgy sellers get away with it... Private or Power Sellers.."

Still sounds like sour grapes to me. Bit like me saying too many dodgy plumbers charging for parts that you don't need so they must all be at it.

"My local supermarket has a post office open whenever the store is open.."

Yes, because those of us with accounts, saving 10 of thousands of pound a year by NOT using the Post Office are going to go to the supermarket with hundreds of parcels on a Sunday, assuming the item was even going to be sent Royal Mail.

" Paid, Marked dispatched, Seller wanted more money, Seller cancelled, Not sent!!!"

That is factual, the questions isn't 'what did the seller do', the question is should there be any leanancey over what may be a genuine error. Clearly you think no, clearly I think yes.

I'm always on here saying don't give a negative - but i can't see why you wouldn't here. They failed to honour a sale and lied about dispatch. Leave a neg with low stars and move on.

Every time i make an error, i honour it. I even buy of other sellers if i cannot honour a sale - cost no object. Its the only way to trade.

I'm not joining in the neg or no neg argument but low stars?

The buyer didn't despatch so that rules out leaving stars for despatch time, postage charge and as described. Also the seller communicated with the buyer. It may not be what the buyer wanted to hear but within a reasonable time frame so why would that deserve low stars.

Leave a neg, don't leave a neg, it can go either way but there is absolutely no justification for leaving low DSR's

Your having a laugh. Item as described? NO - he did not get what was described in the auction. Item dispatch time STILL NOT POSTED. Communication SAID HE WASN'T POSTING AND ISSUED A REFUND - hardly great comms.

No, I assure you I'm not. To leave low DSR's for a sale that was cancelled goes against the grain of what the DSR's are for. This in my opinion would be abuse of the system and kicking the seller because he refused to send the goods at a loss.

Like I said, neg or not neg, could go either way but only a real jerk would mark down the DSR's

I used to sell full-time on Ebay and did make the odd mistake like that. I would not have dreamed of asking for more money though. It would have been extremely discourteous and unprofessional.

Imagine if you picked up a mispriced item at Tesco and they knocked at your door a couple of days later asking for the difference!
    Can I help?

Your question prompted me to have a closer look at the item listing. Originally, under the same item number they were listed at the higher price until last week when he dropped the price. Today he has put the price back up again.

So, is it easy to accidentally change the price mid-listing then??
