Perhaps your son should change is watering hole as it doesn't sound like a very nice place if it's frequented by the Phil Mitchells of this world and the landlady would prefer to keep him as a customer rather than your quite unassuming son!

Seriously just leave it now. It was a bit of banter between two fully grown adult men in a pub. It happens all the time.
All you have is the word of your son and his friends, which will obviously be twisted in his favour. The copper has seen the CCTV and decided there is nothing to pursue. That says a lot to me.
I am not trying to make light of your feelings, but you are making a fool of your son.
Well it appears the copper was lying......I have just been reliably informed there is no CCTV footage.
And banter???? Lol if someone picked me up to face hieght from a sitting position and threatened to put my face through the window I'm not too sure i would treat it as 'banter'!0 -

To be honest, I think most of it is your fault,
When I picked my children up at the pub, I stayed in the car, they got in, we went home.
Everything that happened after that was because you opened the door of your car and got out of it. You inflamed the situation from then on, speaking to witnessese, calling the police, etc. etc. Once you can see that perhaps you may allow yourself to butt out of your sons business, not once on here have you said what he feels about the whole situation, its all you, you, you.
It might have been much easier and swift if you had got out of the car, grabbed this bully by the balls and gave him a massive squeeze. followed by a well placed knee if you think that's the only language he understands. But please, allow your son to live and learn from his mistakes,
