Years ago I ate McBurgers fairly regularly, till I wised up to how unhealthy it is and how grossly overpriced it is.

However, in the last few years just occasionally I think, oh go on, it's tasty, I'm hungry, you haven't wasted any money on that kind of rubbish for a year plus you mostly eat relatively healthy stuff so, go on, just this once, enjoy, if you want to. So I do.

But the last few times it seems to be excessively salty and or chemical which I notice as I eat it and for the next few hours afterwards. I have to drink lots of water for the rest of the day or evening. I even still feel a bit thirsty the next day as well. No other food seems to do this.

So has it got more salty and or chemical the last few years? Or is it maybe just me and I've changed for some reason. Maybe I've got used to not being overloaded with salt so on the rare occasions that I do then I feel it a lot more. Or perhaps it might indicate some sort of health issue with me and that I used to be able to deal with lots of salt without noticing it but now I can't. Maybe I did drink lots of water but just can't remember it now.

I never used to notice excessive saltiness or chemicality in McBurgers, all through the late 70s to the late 90s when I used to consume the trash regularly.

Anyone? I'd probably be slightly interested if anyone has got anything to say about this.

Very true, however I prefer to wait a few minutes longer and have decent food served properly in relaxed surroundings and I am not talking about posh expensive places, rather than junk food in somewhere that resembles a mess hall. :)

I don't eat McDonalds often but you might be tempting me to change to your brand of eating. Could you tell me where they have drive throughs?

    nope? didn't think so.

You throw up just thinking about food? Sounds like a pretty serious medical condition, best go see a doctor about it.

If i like, i can eat my MacDonalds from a china plate and drink my Coke from a crystal glass, and my relaxing dining room has never resembled a mess hall thank you very much. :)

Thats great if you like food that is cold by the time you get it home, I prefer mine hot not reheated.:)

    McDonalds is very good.

Breakfasts are best - scrambled eggs, muffin and two hash browns - £2.39 incredible.

    Good for cheap, reliable food.

And good for their employees too.

    Oh very dear....... [facepalm}

Thats true. They have alot of NVQ training available in a range of topics. Their promotional prospects isn't that bad either. I can think of much worse places to work at tbh.

As a side note, I visited three McDonalds today
    :D

(although the first was to collect something from somebody getting breakfast there and the third just for a Latte)

It's probably that what you are used to easting has changed. The salt content has been lowered (as well as fat, and chemicals are not used) in recent years. Uk McDonald's are the 'healthiest' of all McDonald's as they follow government guidelines for salt levels etc - you can find out how many grams of salt are in each item you eat by either looking at the underside of the trayliner or on their website.
