McDonalds, gotta be the most consistently good company about these days?

I have to admit, I am a sucker for a McDonalds breakfast! On the whole, the restaurants are clean and pleasant and the food consistent, it's good for something quick, cheap and cheerful when out and about.Recently watched "Super Size Me" again, which reminded me why I don't eat at McDonalds.
I never quite understand why people are put off McDonalds by this film. The outcome would be more or less the same if it had been based around your local sandwich shop or takeaway, possibly even worse given all the cheap cash & carry ingredients making their way into the food!
A McDonalds every now and then isn't going to do you any harm.0 -
it amazes me that on a website concerned with money saving, Mc Donalds gets praise
The fast food industry was one of the only areas that saw any growth during the recession. Yes Mc Donalds is consistant, and seems to multiply like rabbits. If its such good 'value', how do they afford to maintain the high standards any never ending opening of stores? They make massive profits by selling substandard low quality, food, made up to look pretty. It amazes me further that in a 'praise' thread, this blatant extortion is being praised?0 -

They sell products people like at prices they are happy to pay. Where's the problem?0 -

I had a cheeseburger and small fries yesterday for £1.88. The fries were hot and golden, the burger was tasty. What's not to like about that?0 -
you should try the chesterfield store...DS insists on eating there and we go in about once a week. they never get my order right. DS hates ketchup and nearly always gets it so its a burger exchange and usually they forget the replacement. i have a wrap of the day (or that's what i order and they usually give me the sandwich). the staff are ignorant (often overlooking me in the queue and letting more aggressive people jump in) and have the customer service skills of a prison camp warden. the place smells (last time of sick) the toilets are always full of teens doing who knows what in the cubicles and the place is generally mucky and looks like its long overdue a refurb.Wins: 2008: £606.10 2009: £806.24 2010: £713.47 2011: 328.320

They appeal to a lot of people by the simple expedient of serving food that is laden with fat and salt. There are two types of people in the world: Those that can extrapolate information.0 -
I went in yesturday in the drive thru and was shocked to see they had made an employee stand outside to take orders (it's freezing and windy outside!) The poor man was shivering and his nose was streaming.
I complained to the manager who said something along the lines of im sorry but all of my orders come from the manager above me and i'm not allowed to ask the employee to come back inside as I would get told off.
Poor guy! I decided to write a letter of complaint. But otherwise, food was consistent.0 -
