So are you going to try to get a 0% deal for this debt? Youve got nothing to lose. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Just looked on the main site as I'm looking for a new 0% deal myself and the HSBC card has a 0% introductory rate until April 2008! I think thats 14 months so you could repay your debt with a standing order completely interest and pain free. 477.8/14 = £34.13 per month. There is a 2% fee which works out at about £9.54. However, if you dont want the debt to hang around for that long I think Martin has other shorter term ones which are fees free. Maybe you should have a look. Glad youre having a holiday. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

hi tes... i can try but i dont think i will get it somehow... i tryed last time i was in debt (7 months ago) to get one and they refused... i may try again though... they can only say no again... but other than that i will just have to pay the interest on this one :doh:0 -

is your mum going to give you back the moeny for the electric? I would bill her for the interest as well, as clearly why should you bear the cost of her not managing.
you know I can be harsh maybe Im being a bit harsh again today, but I crave the day for you when you are able to say a big fat NO to your mum and she learns to cope finanacially.
I really really hope that you can have a quiet word with her on holiday and say, after this ( which is v generous of you IMHO) there will be no more. AND STICK TO IT!
I put this as a challenge to you xxxx:beer: Well aint funny how its the little things in life that mean the most? Not where you live, the car you drive or the price tag on your clothes.
Theres no dollar sign on piece of mind
This Ive come to know...
So if you agree have a drink with me, raise your glasses for a toast :beer:0 -

well i cant and i wont... purely because she has just this 1/2 hour given me £30 back which was for the bt bill (another bill that i pay and she gives back) but last month they increased the bill buy 100% but i must say thats because of her and my brothers chatting on the phone... plus £20 she lent from me out of my driving money... the holiday thing is difficult as i cant drive at the momment the only chance i get to go away is with mum unless i travel on a coach or somethingbut i will try and tell her i wont bail her out anympre but when you live in the same house and you want electric and the meter isnt topped up and the electric is turned off its hard

Hi posting,
sorry to hear about you not being able to get 0% but theres a possibility that your credit rating has gone up a bit because you are debtfree - ish and you havent applied for some time either. Its not as if you're asking for a high credit limit, £500 would do it. Maybe you should try one of the fees free 6 month ones that are linked from this site and apply on line and just see what happens. Not trying to force your hand or anything but it might save you a bit of money and stress too.The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0 -

First of all click on credit cards, then its the second one down, Best Balance Transfers Cut Existing Credit Card Costs - click on that and when the page comes up scroll down and you will see in pinkish/purplishlish lettering List of 0% cards with 0% BT fee (its not those exact words but you should be able to see it as its clearly marked and about the middle of the page) Click on that and a list will come up, I think theyre all over 6 months but make sure you choose one with no mimimum salary and try applying on line. Sometimes they can make a decision in seconds. If they say no, then theres not much else you can do but you never know. I wish you good luck. Oh by the way on the online form they sometimes ask details of how much you want to transfer and they ask for your credit card number of the account you want to transfer from so be ready with those details. After that, if they say yes then you just have to wait for the card to come through. Sometimes they do the BT for you when you apply, other times you have to ring them and activate the card and request the BT over the phone. If thats the case ask for a credit limit of £500 and dont forget whatever you do, CUT THAT CARD UP. Very Very Good Luck with it. If you want to know anything else I will try to help. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0

Oh by the way, ive probably said this before but if you get the 0% 6 month introductory offer then divide the amount you owe by 6, set up a 6 month standing order for that amount and then forget about it. Treat it as an interest free loan. It should be about £79.50 a month so I hope you can easily afford that. Let me know how you get on anyway. The forest would be very silent if no birds sang except for the birds that sang the best0
