Oh dear, looks like I've fallen fowl to Bodini too. The number on the order email confirmation is now disconnected and the number on their website is just ringing with no answer and no option to leave a message. I shall be going to facebook and venting my anger!!0

I purchased Christmas tree Bodini / Groupon.............disaster!!!! Returned the tree as the standard was awful!! Have been trying to get my money back since November...........Bodini are awful, and dont reply to emails, I have tried telephoning also.........automated message tell me no one avaliable and readily disconnects my call. Have now contacted Groupon to see if they will help.............another annoying thing is that if I ever get my money back for the tree, I will still be out of pocket for the postage and packaging when buying and then when returning the tree.............not a bargain!!!!!0

Continuing on from my previous postings regarding Bodini Childs ride on car...
After having no response from Bodini at all after several emails and multiple unanswered calls I contacted Groupon. There began a chain of emails and them asking me to give them 2 weeks with which to sort the problem out. All I am asking for is a child's car that will charge up and work!! I have emailed Groupon again to remind them that the 2 weeks are up and what is - respectfully - happening? I am now waiting on Groupon to get back to me. As soon as this sorry fiasco is over I am deleting this Groupon once and for all.

I ordered two pairs a month ago and have just received them, but they are both Small size which is no good to me.
Looks like I may be better off giving them away than trying to get the right size or a refund!0 -
Clouds, Bodini, Gadgetwizard, Grape Gifts, Nanolite, Bluetooth World... Just avoid all of these companies like the plague.
I can say on very, very good authority that Groupon customer services are completely unable to help in most of these cases beyond emailing the "partners".
In the case of Bodini the products they shipped were nothing like advertised, and in the case of the electric car there are still a great many people still awaiting reimbursement for their postage costs.
Returns are handled by the buyer returning the product to the partner, as in you paying to send back an electric car/christmas tree to wherever it is they're based. Completely unfair.
My partner worked for Groupon until recently (better job offer! Woohoo!) and although most of the staff certainly want to help, they are prevented from doing so. Refunds are frowned upon, and the call centre itself is busy to the point of being a sweatshop (though it must be pointed out that nothing illegal is being carried out. Groupon are very careful on that front).
As a rule of thumb, Groupon is a great idea for restaurant deals, hairdressers, beauty treatments etc. The product deals however, are a nightmare. Most of them are incredibly ill judged (there is a case of slimming drinks being sold which have a week left on their shelf life, and are meant to be a month's course. Seriously) and the "partners" are rather dodgy sites.
Always check the partner's website first. If it has a phone number and email etc. note it down. This is because once the deal launches the partner tends to conveniently remove all contact details from their sites. If it looks amateurish, it is.
Remember, you have seven days from purchase to cancel with Groupon. If you call or email them within this time they are required to refund you.
Hopefully some of this advice helps, and if you've any questions then feel free to ask. I'll find out from the other half for you0 -
Well after flooding groupon's Fb page I got contacted within 5 minutes! And today my ice grips arrived in the correct size too- will be interesting to see if Groupon still refund me though, or if Bodini confirm they have sent goods!
On of my friends also got ripped off by Groupon - hotel deal turned out to cost less if you booked direct with hotel than the deal price Groupon charged!
Plus another said at a restaurant they ate at through Groupon they were treated appallingly as the staff were told Groupon customers were losing the business money - so do your research people, I won't use Groupon again.0 -
Umm mine arrived this morning, so I got refund and Ice Grips.. maybe I should tell Groupon to take the money back again
But really Bodini should have replied to our emails at least..

I had a similar experience - but I guess I just accept that a badly set up deal can cost the company dearly.0
