    Hi everyone

Could you remember when you post that customer service staff are people with feelings too. Thanks!

Lloyds TSB has asked us to post a statement on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.

We are processing all PPI compensation payments within a reasonable turnaround time however we have encountered a one-off processing issue which has delayed payments for a group of customers with a Lloyds TSB loan. We are looking to resolve this as a priority and have dedicated resource working on this to clear the backlog. In recognition of the delay some customers have experienced we will look to compensate them accordingly, this will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We apologise to any customer affected for the inconvenience caused.

Customers can email the following address:

    Define "reasonable turnaround times"

The standard expectation in financial services is to resolve a complaint within 8 weeks that is 56 days. For these complaints Lloyds were given a special extension period by the FSA which was very reasonable of them and we waited somewhat patiently throughout

It has now been 56 days since the date of my calculations letter and it took 17 weeks to get to that stage, all told just about six months. I know some people have waited even longer.

Are these examples of reasonable turnaround times?

  • Hi All,

Very interesting reading, not wanting to be the first to say it but i think lloyds are bankrupt!

    • no one has been paid
    • no one has been given dates when they will be paid
    • senior members of staff are not relpying to emails
    • the ceo has left (all be it sick leave, unheard of before)
    • the lloyds share index has crashed from 37pts to 20pts in only a few days!
    • they are bust! the first major bank to go 2011
Dont want to be the one to start a rumor but the facts are there in black & white!
    This is just scaremongering.

If you had bothered to read the rest of the forum, you would see that people ARE being paid. The CC PPI refunds are up to date, it's those of us with loans that are facing delays.

I find it a bit odd that someone registers with the user name 'lloydsbankrupt' just to make up rumours.

The post by the MSE mod makes a valid point - I'm sure most of the individuals we speak to are telling us what they are told do, so it's a bit off ( IMHO, of course) to be so insulting - I've seen posts on here calling them stupid amongst many other insults. I'm sure the guys at the lower level we speak to do not set out to deliberately lie or cause us grief - they are telling us what the management has told them to tell us.

Far be it from me to defend the behaviour of Lloyds management over this, as the way these refunds have been handled has been unacceptable, but it doesn't sit right with me when the guys on the ground are getting so much grief on here.

And no - I don't work for Lloyds :p and will be closing my account as soon as my refund comes through

as i stated these are not rumors but my view, which like you i can express freely. i have also stated it sad times for all this includes lloyds staff. also a press release comment

British taxpayers will be called upon to bail out at least one High Street bank before the end of this year, a leading banking analyst has warned in the wake of the credit rating downgrade of a major bank.
Ralph Silva, of the Silva Research Network (SRN), famous for his analytical work on the BBC, CNN and financial networks, made the prediction after credit rating agency Moody’s lowered the ratings of Lloyds TSB Bank.

    the facts are stacking

Absolutely, we can all give our opinion, but you said that the things you stated were 'facts', including the line 'they are bust!'. Seems a little like scaremongering to me.

Please at least wait until I've got my refund before you start rumours that bring about their collapse ;)

Does anyone else think the whole situation is a bit surreal? It's like a nightmare that you couldn't possibly believe is true. It's a bank, surely they can't be this unorganised. But yes it's true, they are. My offer letter is dated August 16th, over 80 days ago. And still no nearer to getting paid. Absolutely incredible, and it appears nobody can do anything about it. If I ran my business like this in the service industry we have closed months ago
  • Evening!

LloydsTSB came back to us and asked us to clarify reasonable turnaround. I've amended my post above.
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

so are they saying that people with on going loans that have had successful claims are the only ones waiting on payment?

If this is the case, are they not working alongside the loan departments to help these claims along?

Im still waiting my payment which yes is on an ongoing loan, and when I phoned the loan department yesterday, and asked why I haven't heard off them for the restructured details, they couldn't tell me anything. I was then passed on to the ppi complaints and again all they could say was I wont be getting a cheque now, but will have a bank transfer through BAC , with no time scale.
    So again none the wiser.
