I have a friend who is a banker and he says; (this is the official chance according to the Financial markets apparently)
6.5% of it going bust in a year….compare this to bank of England at 3.5% so it’s relatively high comparatively, but not likely to happen at the moment.

In the same boat as most ppl on here, got the original letter to uphold my complaint on the 22nd of August. Still no money tho!!
Called the welsh call centre who know as little as a school child.
Fired off emails and no reply.
Just a case of sitting tight the now and waiting, as the money will come.
Just gonna wait til it's in my account to spend it0 -
Ive just spoken to the call centre again I spoke to them on Tuesday but didnt give them my details, this time the man looked up my case and said that I will receive a new calculations letter within the next two weeks giving me details of how and when I will be paid he said they have brought in extra staff from within Lloyds to help clear the backlog Ill just wait to see if I receive another letter and call again in two weeks if nothing has been received.0

If / when I finally get paid and have the pleasure of closing my LTSB account, I'll have to decide who to go to and it's going to be a political decision. So far it's a toss-up between Nationwide (a mutual) and the Co-op (errrm a co-op). Any opinions?0

Why go to one of the big boys at all? Look into whether your local building society offers a current account facility and compare the friendly family service they offer to that of your current provider.
You will probably find that the service is also free of charge, as long as they have online banking and a debit card you wont notice the difference and you will be a member so will have an amount of say in how they are run.
To make this balanced I should add that some Building Societies are not much better than banks and I am not recommending any particular provider just that we should all widen our scope in future banking decisions.Money Saving IQ 142 - Does that mean I am tight?0 -

Could you remember when you post that customer service staff are people with feelings too. Thanks!
Lloyds TSB has asked us to post a statement on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.
We are processing all PPI compensation payments within a reasonable turnaround time (28 days) however we have encountered a one-off processing issue which has delayed payments for a group of customers with a Lloyds TSB loan. We are looking to resolve this as a priority and have dedicated resource working on this to clear the backlog. In recognition of the delay some customers have experienced we will look to compensate them accordingly, this will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We apologise to any customer affected for the inconvenience caused.
