  • I also submitted a claim to Lloyds for 5 seperate loans. First I received a letter saying I wasn't successfull then I got an offer letter.
It said if you agree, you don't need to do anything as we will be in contact with you 'shortly'. That was 5th September. Wanting to know when I would get my money, I called them. Their reply was 6 to 8 weeks. I pointed out that that was 'shortly ' as told in their letter. I know they included an additional 4 weeks interest up until oct but I said what about the interest I will lose if I don't get the payment till after that date? They couldn't give any answer.
So submitted comparing to ombudsman as their letter was misleading, I will lose interest as now in nov
Still waiting for cheque ..... Will make my weekly call

    Hi everyone

Could you remember when you post that customer service staff are people with feelings too. Thanks!

Lloyds TSB has asked us to post a statement on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.

We are processing all PPI compensation payments within a reasonable turnaround time (28 days) however we have encountered a one-off processing issue which has delayed payments for a group of customers with a Lloyds TSB loan. We are looking to resolve this as a priority and have dedicated resource working on this to clear the backlog. In recognition of the delay some customers have experienced we will look to compensate them accordingly, this will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We apologise to any customer affected for the inconvenience caused.

Customers can email the following address:

    PPI.Customer.Relations@lloydstsb.co.uk

Just called them. Advised that I should be eligible for a recalc of my interest was originally up to 17 oct Lets wait and see. Glad I got them on speed dial!!
  • so the weekend is here & guess what no recalualtion letter as stated on tuesday by LloydsTSB so i think this is going to be a long dragged out process as 21 days has passed - 28 days has passed - 6 to 8 weeks is up next week & if going by the last conversation with Lloyds i now need to await til at least the 3rd December - will this nightmare ever end that is the question asked by all im sure the only thing i havent done is counted on the money so when it does arrive things can get done. i was wondering there is some plan that Lloyds are holding back pay out all that money in one go as its a lot to loose so paying it out in to people on a drip feed effect would make sense as some of us are owed in excess of ten thousand pounds were as the credit card payouts only seem to be between a grand or two - heres hoping that one day they come clean to the reasons on the delays - that someone replies to the countless emails - the customer service improves & i agree with a comment made earlier that the staff are human but hey there in the job as customer service so either tell the truth or lie for your bosses cause if i behaved like that in my job i wouldnt have one

    regards

i too spoke to lloyds tsb call centre on tues demanded to speak to a manager because the girl on the phone knew nothing the manager went on to tell me that i and everyone else who had erceived calculations before 21st october would be receiving a letter by THIS WEEKEND with new calculations he also said the matter had been out sourced to another company to deal with and i would have my money in 2/4 weeks by bacs and not cheque as stated on original letter. GUESS WHAT NO LETTER RECEIVED SURPRISE SURPRISE oh and by the way i have spoken to someone in call centre who told me that they had NOT BROUGHT IN ANOTHER COMPANY.So my point is if you cant even get the truth from a manager who do we believeits a disgrace the way lloyds are handling this situation they are treating their customers like absolute idiots. CANT WAIT TO GET MY MONEY THEN CLOSE MYACCOUNT

Hi, yes my loan is still running and they said bacs! I received my offer letter 24 th September! I'll ring agin next week and update you if it happens x

Received my redress letter Friday from Blackhorse confirming acceptance of a £5100 PPI refund which is great!
I've still a loan running with them (no PPI!) but will they credit this loan with the refund or sent a separate cheque/transfer?

    Anyone have any experience?

As part of our strategy to become the best bank for customers we publicly committed to reduce the level of FSA
reportable complaints we receive by 20 per cent, between the first half of 2010 and the first half of 2011, excluding
PPI complaints. We achieved a 24 per cent reduction, which has reduced our complaints per 1,000 accounts to
only 1.7. This has been accomplished through the success of our phone-a-friend service and the training we have
provided to our 40,000 front line colleagues. As a result of these initiatives, we are now resolving over 90 per cent
    of complaints at first touch.
In the second half of the year we are rolling out an externally accredited complaint handling qualification to all of
our complaint handlers, making us the first financial services organisation to have professionally qualified
complaint handlers. In addition we are also extending the opening hours of the specialist teams so they can deal
with complaints 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring customers get the right outcome faster.
By putting customers at the heart of our business, we have reached some key milestones and outlined further
strategic initiatives to strengthen this commitment. We have made over 100 changes to simplify our systems and
processes to help serve our customers more quickly and efficiently. We have enhanced our internet banking
offering to enable our retail customers to do more online, and extended the innovative Lloyds TSB Lend a Hand
Mortgage to help customers purchase a home with the help of their local authority

LOL this is part of his 2011 Half Year Results statement. I love the statement "As a result of these initiatives, we are now resolving over 90 per cent of complaints at first touch" and "In addition we are also extending the opening hours of the specialist teams so they can deal
with complaints 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ensuring customers get the right outcome faster"
Is he on a different Planet?

Yes, I'd like to hear an answer to this. Anyone with a paid off loan received their money back yet? My complaint in Beginning of June, upheld 22 Aug., calculations 16 Sept., no cash.

They keep saying they are dealing with x amount a day and are working through the backlog, but there seems to be a distinct lack of ANYONE with a LOAN PPI claim being paid.

    What's really going on?

Got my calculation letter dated August 16th. Existing loan was restructure on oct 18th. No payment for me yet, and no update on when I'm getting it. Over 85 days now and waiting to get the recalculation letter. Something is definitely not right. Either the system they're using has collapsed, or they're simply just not paying out until after the results have been released maybe. Either way it's an absolute disgrace
