LloydsTSB PPI Payment

  • My position:

    LTSB CREDIT CARD
    Calculation letter - 8/9/11 - £6,600 (interest until 6/10/11)
    Paid - 20/10/11

    LTSB LOANS (4 in total)
    Calculation letter - 18/8/11 - £10,500 (interest until 13 September 2011)
    Paid - 16/9/11 -£3,600 (16/9/11)
    BALANCE OUTSTANDING - £6,900

My outstanding balance relates to an existing loan account. This seems to be the main thing which is causing delays because not only is the PPI premium due back in full, but also the entire loan now needs to be restructured. The amount of money which I have been paying over the life of this loan which relates to PPI should have been paying off the capital value of my loan (which has been accruing interest all that time). This all needs to be adjusted which basically means that the loan amount needs to come down to reflect this.

The level of ignorance being shown by the customer services departments is breathtaking. We are all being lied to and I would guess that this is now company policy with LTSB.

I just hope that this new arrangement (if it is the truth) sorts out payments due for many many people who are being messed about and who are being caused all sorts of problems as a result of this disgusting behaviour by the bank.

    Hi everyone

Could you remember when you post that customer service staff are people with feelings too. Thanks!

Lloyds TSB has asked us to post a statement on its behalf. MSE doesn't endorse anything a company says on the Forum.

We are processing all PPI compensation payments within a reasonable turnaround time (28 days) however we have encountered a one-off processing issue which has delayed payments for a group of customers with a Lloyds TSB loan. We are looking to resolve this as a priority and have dedicated resource working on this to clear the backlog. In recognition of the delay some customers have experienced we will look to compensate them accordingly, this will be reviewed on a case by case basis. We apologise to any customer affected for the inconvenience caused.

Customers can email the following address:

    Sorry mate, you're obviously wrong since;
one-off processing issue which has delayed payments for a group of customers with a Lloyds TSB loan.
    :D

Funny how many of this one-off group post on MSE isnt it? :A

I'm sorry, but we've heard it all before in regards to backlogs etc. Fact of the matter is we are constantly getting fobbed off by these guys (being told a different story every time we spend hours on the phone ringing them), so they should be expected to take some criticism. What do they want? My sympathy? Sorry, but it aint happening. All I want is what is owed to me. It's not my fault that the bank hasn't got the technology to keep up with things.

I am due an acknowledgement letter tomorrow in regards to my email complaint last Friday (they promised to send it within 5 working days). I'm hoping for some frankness and honestly.

  • my refund also relates to loans paid off in full and i might add ON TIME so if the delay is for customers with current loans which need restructuring and blah blah blah where on earth is mine money
  • The number of people complaining about the Lloyds holdups is staggering, and we must accept that this forum is probably a very small proportion of the total people waiting.

I have a current Lloyds loan on which I cancelled the PPI payments 6 months ago. Payments are uptodate.

Yes, they DO need to restructure it, the opening balance included a roll on loan including PPI. Basically my future repayments should be rather less.

    Point being
    - I should be paying less monthly
    - they do not need to take any money from my agreed and promised refund to pay off against the loan
    - they could pay my refund and take another couple of months if they like to sort out the restructuring!!! I have told them as much:mad:

No excuse whatsoever in saying my current loan is the reason my refund is held up.

I am still worrying Lloyds have not got enough to pay us all.

    • senior members of staff are not relpying to emails
    • the ceo has left (all be it sick leave, unheard of before)
    • the lloyds share index has crashed from 37pts to 20pts in only a few days!
    • they are bust! the first major bank to go 2011
Dont want to be the one to start a rumor but the facts are there in black & white!

It makes us think why deloittes are dealing with the cases doesnt it?
And as know, deloittes manage reclaims for the FSCS for businesses going bust.
