    Hi,

I spoke to LloydsTSB today at 16:00hrs (1st Nov). They told me that they are aware of the delays in payment and the following actions are being taken:

    1. This week letters will be sent to all claiments who have not received payment up until the 21st October.
    2. The letter will include a new interest calculation up to the end of October and an additional 4 weeks interest (to say sorry perhaps?)
    3. Payments will hopefully now be quicker and where claiments are exisitng LloydsTSB customers with active accounts the payment will be made directly via BACS.

The LloydsTSB rep on the phone said that they had just received this information this morning and had not yet seen any details of the new interest payment calculations. I would expect it to be pro-rated at 8% as per the original offer letters.

    END

Sorry ive had a long day and this is going to be a stupid question but I just want to understand if I'm getting this right lol.

If you have received your calculation letter before the 21st of October, we will get a letter by the end of the week to state new interest calculations with added interest for another 4 weeks on top?

I'm really confused as well and I've had too much caffeine to understand what's going on but I don't like it. Although if it means I get my money sooner then I'm happy with that outcome, fingers crossed.

@Natsel, use the 01733 347007 number. It is a local number so on a mobile only uses your minutes and doesn't cost £700/minute you also get the added benefit of no hold music just a gentle ring ring noise.

  • Lloyds really have taken the water out of everyone who has posted on this thread. How can a mulitnational company who was bailed out by me and you get away with taken 8 weeks to pay a cheque out to people who need it.

I received my calculaton letter on the 8th September, I have gave up ringing them cause its hopeless, I have been emailling the head of customer sevices where I have not received a reply for a week now. Excellent serivce.

Today I contacted my MP who is going to have a look at this, I dont how much he can actullay do but considering we are shareholders of this company I do feel its very relevant that they are made aware.

Going by what small information people are getting about a third party dealing with the backlog I really wouldnt hold my breath receving the money any time soon, you can already hear the excuses .
  • I rang Lloyds again yesterday. They weren't able to tell me about when payments would be made; only that Credit card payments are being processed much faster than Loan payments. I got a call today from Lloyds saying that my Credit card redress will be paid in by BACS tomorrow. At last!:j
  • hello, i to have a loan ppi claim with ltsb and have had so since may 2011, we recieved our amount letter on the 24/09/2011 and was advised the chq would be sent within 4/6 weeks however it got to 4 weeks and we rang them and was advised that it would be a further 4 weeks as due to internal administrative errors there was a backlog as payments had been sent out incorrectly to people, great i thought, you;ve lead me right up the garden path!!, after reading the above posts i feel slightly better however still hacked off at the fact we got so close and then they moved the goal post again!!!
  • I have contacted lloydstsb today who advised me that we will be reciving new caculation letters in the next week. But are still not sure on payouts just that it will be faster(which i have been advised about 4 times in last 2months)We are still no closer to an answer or timescale.I was told last week i would have a payment today and guess what no payment they even put it on my notes to say they were doing this.It will be next christmas a this rate.:(
  • Oh well, looks like i'm being fobbed off again! Thank Lloydstsb!

  • Just a small update regarding my claim. I contacted Lloyds this morning to ask again where my money is, I was told I couldnt get a exact date but its true that a third party is dealing with a back log. This bit is interesting. I was then told my actual claim has not been included in this but in fact the infamous Ms Barry is looking at my account. The last note was on the 21st October, I have sent her various emails since then with no response not even a automated one!!

My MP is now sending a letter to Lloyds requesting the pay the money asap, dont know how much weight it will carry but its worth a try.
