LloydsTSB PPI Payment

i didnt know about the waiting time after the account has been settled, i got a letter last week informing me i will be getting a refund, i had assumed it would be in a matter of days, not months, so just how long have some people been waiting ? is Daveysboy waiting time average then0

I'm appalled to read everyone's stories and to realise that we've all been treated in such a lousy manner.
Just as LloydsTSB charge us for going overdrawn or for late payments on our credit cards with them I'm thinking about sending them my own set of charges for their late payments. Will anyone join me?
I first complained about my PPI nearly three years ago. They finally agreed to pay me back nearly £4k which would help me finally pay off the loan - which I'm still incurring interest on.
This treatment from LloydsTSB seems totally unfair and really tells me that at the end of the day they are not a bank I'd like to continue doing business with.
Can we send them our charges?
Who's in?0 -

started 26th may refund letter 8th sept still waiting , numerous phone calls and emails and still waiting, seems my problem is i have an open loan with 2 payments left on it and they cannot recalculate it yet,, had 4 payments left when i got refund letter so by the time they pay me loan will be finished.
seriously thought i needed this money for my mum to install a chair lift and wet room so she can come and live with us and maintain her diginity as she is getting so frail and i have told lloyds this.0 -
Lloyds' PPI cash delay
LLOYDS last night said sorry after yet more problems over dodgy Payment Protection Insurance (PPI).
The bailed-out bank admitted it was missing deadlines to repay customers owed cash after being mis-sold the insurance.
The delays affect customers with a Lloyds TSB loan.
Lloyds said: "We are looking to resolve this as a priority. We apologise to any customer affec-ted for inconvenience caused."
Lloyds set aside £3.2billion to cover compensation payments in May.

if you have already been made a full offer this wont affect you at all.
Lloyds have had to change the way that they assess PPI mis-sales after they ost the court case. However....they are stil not doing it properly.
Where people had chains of refinancing...so took a few loans one after the other and kept repayng them early with a new loan. Each time they took a new loan they would repay the previous PPI policy and receive a rebate. So they would get some money back however, this rebate would not be proportionate to the time left on the policy. For example, i might take a 5 year loan (so a 5 year repayment on the PPI) then cancel the loan after a year. Rther then receive the proportionate aount back I would receive say 4% of the total of PPI.
This is obviously not in line with fos redress. Just a heads up0 -

I've not seen Lloyd TSB make a low offer since mid-2010. I thought those days were gone. How do you know they are making low offers again?
If they call an offer a ''pro-rata rebate'' it won't be in line with what the FOS recommend.
If they offer a full refund of all the PPI paid with 8% - this is a fair offer.
Blackhorse are the only major organisation that I know of that have gone back to making those type of low offers (P.S. I know they are owned by Lloyds!) however I think most people on this thread are dealing with Lloyds TSB rather than Blackhorse.0 -

If you refer a complaint to FOS you have to remember that:
1) it could be a year for an inital decision;
2) there is no guarantee that they will find in your favour;
(although your chances are very high with a Lloyds TBS loan)
Its always worth checking to see if an offer is actually fair before rejecting it, as all the Lloyds offers I've seen in the last 16 months actually are.0 -
grrrrrrrrrrrr really getting cheesed off with these thieving gits, sent yet another email to see where the hell my money is and guess what no reply how longis it before this actually becomes a legal matter.Surely after they have sent you confirmation ofthe paymentand you have accepted this it thens becomes a legal contact so not payingcustomers by the date interest calculated till is surely illegal0

Well i do have to say that this whole fiasco has made me happer than ever that i ditched Lloyds TSB last year and went to First Direct who have been a breath of fresh air ever since.
I sent my initial complain form on the 1st of June, after taking to the limit of the 12 week allowance i received the acceptance letter on the 30th of August, and the official offer 7th of Septmber telling payment would be made ASAP. Shortly afterwards i called them and asked how long payment would take and was told 21 days. So 29 days later i call them again, they tell me in will probably be another couple of weeks. Well it's now been another couple of weeks and i called them again to be told it could be December before i receive payment, i remained polite but started asking a lot of questions to which the answer was we don't know to all. Including whether they will notify me a cheque has been dispatched, to which i was told no, and that they also have no way of checking, so if it get's lost in the post there no way for anyone to tell me, Incredible. After some more pointed questions the guy said have a nice day and hung up on me!
I can't beliebe that they are being allowed to get away with this nonsense. I have called the FSA and made a complaint to Lloyds TSB about the time being take to make the repayments which i guess i will hear back from in 8 weeks, unless they get allowed another extension to 12 weeks. I am so tempted to stop the direct debit that does to my loan from a different bank until they pay me what i am owed if it wasn't for the fact that i know there would soon enough be bailiffs at my door and a big red mark on my credit report, rules for them and rules for us i suppose, gotta love being the little guy!!
It wouldn't be so bad if i didn't really need the money! Or you felt Lloyds TSB actually cared.
Anyway rant over, will probably be back to rant again in December when i am told it will be February!
Cheers
