They are the two programs most commonly exploited to facilitate the download & installation of malware. Should you browse to a compromised site you would possibly get infected.

There are two service packs for Vista available. Install service pack 1 before installing service pack 2.

That actually does meet the security baseline for version 6. However, support for version 6 ends in November this year. So, you can either keep version 6 for now, or upgrade to version 7 - The security baseline for version 7 being update 5.

Getting better, I have downloaded Service Pack 1, but before I can download 2 it keps asking if i am running 32 or 64 bit something!! (wrote this down on a paper yesterday & now I can't find it! typical!!!)
