Just been offered free Bulldog Internet Security via an Email from Carphone Warehouse. I currently use AVG free and I am on Vista. Should I change or is there a better free product? I'm not much of a techie so it would need to be simple to set up and use.
Any advice gratefully received
Many thanks0 -
I purchased and ran McAffee last year but hit all kinds of infiltration issues, down loaded Malwarebyres and bingo, system cleared loads of stuff thrown out and no issues since.
Mc Affee runs out this week, don't fancy wasing money that way again so any advice for something to partner MWB???
Please don't get too technical as I'm not super wise in the area.:rotfl:
Sorry just haven't waded back thro' the full 100 odd pages.I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.
Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

I've used Eset NOD 32 for years now for everything as I've not had anything nasty since using it. A friend of mine asked me to help him to get skype working and after a lot of time and effort I discovered through reading forums that it was Norton 360 that stopped it from working. Once he uninstalled Norton and installed Nod32, it worked a charm.0

Avast Free ... full scan once a week.
Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware ... run once a week.
Keepass with Firefox addon for securely storing user names and passwords .... I only recently realised that browsers store these in plain text!
And most important common sense when using the internet ... don't blindly download and install things!
I've downloaded avast free, but it's only a months trial with an option to buy, can you continue the free version after the month??
CheersI like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Don't panic!
I'm no longer up to date with Avast, but somewhere in the settings or on the update popup, there will be the chance to apply for the FREE 12 month licence.
You fill in a simple form and they email a key within 24hrs.
They like to give the impression that you have to buy.Move along, nothing to see.0
