What Security do you use?

I know! *hangs head in shame* But it is good. It has a whole load of extra stuff (including the firewall) which doesn't come with the free one. And it's still cheaper than buying Macafee or Avast. Besides which, I know how to use it!

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the firewall is very bad. youd be safer turning it off and using windows firewall (if you can)

Thanks spud17. It's for my new laptop, so no AVG to remove from that one. Hoping to finally get round to some downloading later this eve - does the NOSCRIPT plug-in for firefox block facebook etc?

It blocks all webpages by default. You can unlock whatever you like so they run

Hi again, have successfully installed everything, but I thought it was all going too smoothly!
Query re Spybot S&D Immunise feature - I have Unprotected showing as 100467 rather than zero. No idea on this, just wondering what I need to do. Thanks.

Sorry, can't seem to quote original post

RIGHT CLICK the spybot.exe file and select RUN AS (administrator)
if the options not there then press the SHIFT key at the same time as right clicking

Then after updating, goto the immunise screen and select to immunise

It should then gardually go down to zero unprotected

Don't know what I did/didn't do first time around, but that's worked! Huge thanks for all your previous posts, which have initiated me into the world of free, good security.
