one word - MUPPET!!!! how funny would that have been to see.
Sorry I know we shouldn't laugh, its not nice being spooked. I leave the spooking to my dog, and when's she gets spooked - so do I. Remember that time I chased that youth down our road with a golf club in one hand and a dog in the other, after he was trying to break in your's before you moved in! I still laugh about it now. :rotfl:

DW emptied & re-loaded, WM & TD on, all kitchen sides cleaned & gleaming with stardrops. Will go and do the bathroom now & downstairs loo.

:dance:sold some more stuff on ebay yesterday another £50 to the pot.

Bright morning, OH says its cold out, he should know, he took the car to the garage this morning and walked back BBBBBBRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR............yesterday he gave me the fright of my life, went rushing out the door to take our kitchen waste out, caught his foot on the cill of the door and went flying, fortunately his heavy coat saved any real damage, little scrape on his knee and elbow but nothing else....can't say the same for my nearves though!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I really must buckle down and finish the back bedroom, it still looks like a tip, so thats my 'job for today' cannot go far until we get the car back, so a home day is called for.

Have to walk to the PO to post off some of my parcels but thats just 5 minutes away a little excersie will do me good.............

right off for a :coffee: then get on,

    Have a good day folks...............................

Just watched Martin on the Wright stuff, it still amazes me that people have no idea about this site, and some of the basic questions they ask, not basic i didnt mean it to sound like that but i surprised myself that i knew the answers before the reply was given.I have been taking note not just playing on the pc!!;)

Right gang am just about to load the invalids up now have just been warming the carriers up and making sure their blankets are warm for them(I know I know-BUT....they ARE my babies!!) So will be loading up in 10 mins. Fingers crossed. Livvy doesn't much like going in his carrier but as he is quite poorly and feeling rather sorry for himself it shouldn't be TOO hard today!! Am just going to have a STRONG cup of coffee then off we go. Will report later. Have a good day everybody.

  • Morning all, wow hasn't the thread been busy already.

I had all the answers for Martins questions too dlb - felt quite knowledgable! (sp?)

DD3 still at home with this ear, throat infection so another day off for me - but unpaid this time. I know, some things are more important; but these two days have reminded me how much I loved being a SAHM. Take no notice of everyone who says we don't do a lot, enjoy it whilst you can. The time will never come around again. I waited till my youngest was at full time school, so had a good 6 years at home. Didn't appreciate it at the time, would do now.(we live and learn, dont we?)

Hope you have a great first day at work Blairweech, thinking of you.

Hope you have lovely anniversaries Pink and ccstar.

Pink, Kyle (and any others) hope your Lo's feel better soon.

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY N9eve, enjoy it.

Boysmum3 - hope your hubby is feeling better soon.

Have a really great day everyone else ((hugs)) to all. xxBBxx

edit- anniestar - hope everything is okay with your 'babies' x

I half caught something on BBC Breakfast the other morning about the 'plague' of nits just now. I am sure some woman said that most of the potions and lotions are no use. The nits have built up a resistance to them! I am sure a sonic nit comb was mentioned. Maybe someone else saw that bit of the programme and tell you more.

Funny, I thought later that morning that I should have paid more attention so I could maybe share it on here because these wee pests seem to crop up here regularly!

    Morning All

Just a very quicky, Happy Birthday/Congratuations/Sympathies as appropriate.

Re the SAHM, I had six months off after birth of my DS. Couldn't hack it, went back to work for a rest (V. Busy/Loads of Strees but could handle that better than being at home!) Best Mate a SAHM, me a Working Mum, no problems, you do what you feel you have to do. Personally I think the part-timers have the hardest lot. When DS was 18 months old got shingles, and Dr. recommended a cleaner, I had the easier task, going to work.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?

Oh dear Mrs Mix, its not a nice situation to be in, *touchwood* we've not been in this predicament for a while. Easiest way I found was plenty of patience, conditioner and a nit comb, and going thru many sections of the hair to remove - not only the nits but the eggs too. I wipe the excess on kitchen roll (never rinse in water).

Totally agree with Grannybroon - these potions are no good. But I do find that Derbac M is better than full marks. Now I just stick to the conditoner method. T-tree as been known to also help. I only use the t-tree conditioner in this case.

Once you've done this, just check everyday. I think the nit eggs usually hatch around 5days. There the problem causes.
