Regarding the Northern meet well I'm up for it if thats ok. I am in Manchester. Hope veryone is well and warm htis morning. Sorry if I've missed anyone out i am a VERY slow typist(probably on another page by now!!) Well had a very bad nights sleep kept waking up and found it VERY difficult to get up this morning.Fed cats and to be honest thats about all. Really struggling this morning. Anyway I now want you to all join in my little song(you WILL know the tune!) "Hey ho hey ho off to the vets we go,we're poorly cats not happy cats hey ho hey ho hey ho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Am taking 4(EEK!!!) this morning. Livingstone who isn't at all happy with life,sneezing and generally being male(sorry !) Ruprt also sneezing and although nowhere near as bad has very fragile health, Fergal(sneezing & wheezing) and Lucy who is on a diet and was due to go back next week anyway and is wheezing as well. Phoebe is also sneezing so will have a look and see what I think later. They have a cat morning on Thursday which is good and as I will be taking so many we have been slotted in at the end of the surgery(it helps that I know the vet-taught her little boy so got to call her last night at home) So my late morning will be VERY interesting. Anyway have a great day take care and stay safe and warm. Oh by the way moggins why not just have a nice restful day today hun? Whatever you are all up to, enjoy it. A XXX

it is annoying when people dont realise what a difficult job staying home to raise a family is. I worked when mine were little but only two night shifts when my husband was there to look after them. I used to say to people at work who made snide comments about it must be great to have 5 days off a week, that work was something I did in my spare time and home was the real job.

today I am waiting to hear from someone about some extra tuition for my exam next week. so not sure what the day holds for me.

Morning chums ,Thanks for the info. pink , but why do we say 'White Rabbits' on the first of the month ??? or is it only a family thing in our family . My late husband used to say it as well and he was a Hampshire lad wheras I am a Londoner .
What a lot of gorgeous people on this site .I think we could have a beauty contest with some of them ,and some of the OH's are really hunky :beer: .
Well I managed to get booked up for my trip with my grandson to Disneyland Paris and I told him it was all booked and we were going on the 3rd March and you'd think he'd won the lottery .He is so excited . I cost me an arm and a leg ,but Hey the look on his face was worth every penny .I am so proud of how hard he has worked this last 6 months to pass his 11+ exam and I think a big pat on the back is worth it's weight in gold .
My DD said she's never seen him so animated .he's normally a very quiet little boy as a rule .The second eldest in a family of five children it's a case of who shouts the loudest gets heard
So Ben for once is top-gun in the house at the moment . The three younger ones are all hoping that he will bring them home a present, and I dare say he will as if he goes anywhere with the school he always remembers his siblings.
I am going to have a pottering day today, and will try to get through on the phone to my sis-in-law in Dubai, as it's her 60th birthday today.:beer: She comes home on Saturday and she will really notice how cold it is I think, she's been out there at her DD's since the beginning of December .

DLB hope DD is better soon, I can honestly say, with my ear plugs in, I never heard a thing! Totally agree with that nutter on who's who board, No need for that! I follow DLB a week later with my birthday, and Im older!!! :eek:

Cant believe Ive just gone onto page 3, what a busy bunch you lot are this morning. Quickly going thru them before school run

DS part of the school is closes - Boiler broke, but DD's part is still open. Luckily Mum has a day off from work, so Ive roped her into babysitting for me! Got to listen to the local radio Friday morning to see if its re-opened. That should be fun - I dont have a radio in the house. lol

Anyway, NORTH MEET, Ive got 6 people on the list so far, with their locations, once I get anymore takers, i will hit the map and find a more central location to meet. But still open to any idea's.

Right, I will read page 3 upon my return.

Think there must be something in the air this morning as my two boys were both up at the crack of dawn too, DS1 then proceeded to have a tantrum at the top of the stairs because he wanted to be carried down:rolleyes: We were stood there for a good 20 minutes - I couldn't even walk off and leave him as he was right at the top of the stairs and not safe. Aaarggh......

Not much OS-ing to be done today, we are out all morning at a playdate I have to get my menu plan done for the next couple of weeks so will be trawling the recipe threads later.

Have been looking at the Who's Who thread. Thanks to everyone who posted. It is nice to put a face to a name. Some look just like I thought. From memory - Moggins and Twink. However I know it has already been mentioned but MATH!!!! I think he is definately the board eye-candy

So far I have managed to get photos from my camera onto the computer but no further forward. Would have posted a picture from my wedding as I think I look my best then (due to professional make up) but I don't have a scanner.

Anyway, no work today :j

Plans at the moment are just to stay in all day and get on with washing and housework (and catch up with some telly that I have missed )

As it's the first of the month I also like to prepare the month ahead. But I must ask....where did January go?!?!?

Well I have a suspicion that today will be my final day of jury service. The trial I am on is due to finish today and as tomorrow is my last official day I think there is a good chance they will release us after today's trial so that we don't risk getting put on another case which overruns into next week.

I also think - and hope - I will have an early finish today. If so, I need to go up to Bond Street on the tube and run a few errands (birthday present for friend, and some sheet music). I have been hopelessly lazy on the days when I have been in court It's so handy that the bus from outside my front door goes all the way to outside the court's front door so I will really have to motivate myself to go and do something necessary and useful instead of going straight home.

Pink - I was on MSN last night with SnowyOwl and she has been having trouble contacting you about travel arrangements for your London trip. Could you make sure you get in touch with her? P.S. Hope DS is feeling better soon

Anyway, must go, haven't been in the shower yet and need to go out in half an hour!

I am wearing a vest under my V necked jumper after giving a few lads in my office an eye full last week. They didn't actually mind, but, well, I thought I ought to try & be modest

Washing needs sorting, hopefully DH will do that.
