Hey penelope penguin, my best mate is your age, and having 4 kids makes me feel alot older than what i am.
Wish the body looked only 30, but hey cant have everything!!LOLProud to be DEBT FREE AT LAST0 -
A very good morning to all. What a great morning it - January is finally over - I hate January! Oh & Mondays too BTW!
Smokybabe, kinda have something in common, our DS decided that 4:30am was wake up time this morning, oh I mean last night. 4:30am, what's going on! So as you were dropping off, we were almost up (slight exaggeration LOL!) OH 'dealt' with him for a couple of hours, as I'm due at work this morning, so we swapped over at 6:30. Earlier than normal for me, but I'll probably still send up being late!
No plans as such, apart from work all day.
Have a 'nice' day everyone, love February!
N9eav, Have a lovely Birthday! Can I have some of that cake please??!!
I am in the future you know...
...9 hours ahead to be exact !:D0 -
Crikey, you are all up early today.....
Will catch up with posts when OH has gone to work and I've had my shower. Big day today as I have my line manager and another coming to see me about my absence [ due to bowel problems which included a hospital stay] and my return to work. A bit nervous about it all.We don't need to do it perfectly - good enough is exactly that GOOD ENOUGH.0 -
Morning all

Well all good plans went out of the window last night as what would have been a 30min trip out to buy an ironing board turned into a 2 hour trek and guess what still no ironing board
Why are these things so difficult to buy
think I might just see if I fair any better today by looking online.
So didn't manage to get anything done last night at all apart from a huge row with DH that came from nowhere and really wasn't about anything. I think it's just the time of year and the fact that we're both a little stressed.
So this evenings plans are the same as yesterday and tonight in the tink house for dinner I think I may be serving humble pie :rotfl:
N9eav - HAPPY BIRTHDAY
As always take or leave the :grouphug: as needed. You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same0 -
morning :hello:
HAPPY BIRTHDAY N9eave :T
presentation went well yesterday and although we won't get our marks until it's gone to external markers our tutor said he was confident we'd all passed
dog fed, cat fed DD having breakfast and DS in bath
2nd time this week he's set his alarm early so that he can have a bath and wash his hair before school
SC on with chicken casserole for tonight
must get off soon or I'll never get a parking space within a mile of the hospital
have a good day all xx :wave:I am a Senior Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Wales, Small Biz MoneySaving, In My Home (includes DIY) MoneySaving, and Old style MoneySaving boards. Good morning everyone
Happy Birthday to n9eav, Happy Anniversary to CCStar and Pink. Hope you all manage to do something special today. I'm sure Moggins can give you some hints on how to celebrate an anniversary - going by yesterday's thread anyway!
Good luck on your first day Blairweech and good luck with the meeting with your boss Vivw.
Hope you feel better soon mrs mix
Kyle hope LO's blood sugar stabilises quickly and he feels better soon. ((((hugs)))) to those other mini-OSers who are under the weather or having a sulk.
Can't believe it's the 1st of Feb today! What a quick month January was.
Won't get to do much OS today as I'm working though hopefully I will manage to get some jobs done between finishing work and doing the school run. I just seem to have run out of energy though so if anyone wants to give me a pinch and a punch I might be actually be grateful.
Be prepared for a flick and a kick back though.
Have a thrilling Thursday! xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Good Morning
Good Luck to BlairWeech
(((Hugs))) to all who need them this morning.
I took no risks this morning and got up on 2nd snooze just in case alarm played up again!!!(just realised you don't know what I'm talking about as my post crashed yesterday.....I overslept last 2days!!)
Got up to a foggy day here on the east coast.
Have the w word from 9-3, I usually do a full day on Friday, but am gong up north to my mum this weekend so have swapped over...I drop the big boys at school and meet the childminder up there too.
OS wise: tea for tonight is half prepared - I cooked a chicken last night. Will do veg after work but that will probably be it,
I am so glad january is over - I am starting my new year today - january was a wash out with OH being ill...although not a good start as DS3 was a little tinker last night so I join the bleary eyed group.
OH has been off with no sick pay - just SSP. But he got paid yesterday and it was a lot more than we expected (not as much as normal) he won't get his payslip til he gets back from driving so we will have to go through it.
I rejiggled things for the month expecting less and i am trying hard not to get excited that we may have more than we thought...don't want to spend it then next month end up losing it.....have to wait and see.
I too enjoyed the photos on whos who yesterday....I reported bad post by the muppet who was over there with his bad taste comments....I'm sure he thought he was most amusing.....
Oh well better go and start the task of trying to wake DS1....and I am not reassured by posts by others that I could have years of hysteria (mine usually!!!) every morning - he is not quite 12 yet!!!
Take Care everyone
