Just home from work with a thumping headache! I know why - I have spent most of the day looking at MSE!

Chardonnay haven't heard from you today. DH saw the whales. The best views are from South Queensferry looking towards Dalgety Bay. Some folk had looked from the Fife side but not such good views. Just visible with binoculars but DH has a telescope and got cracking views. Watched them for over 3 hours. Hope you are feeling OK.

Will catch up with the teatime gossip once I have had a sit down in a darkened room and told myself a thousand times 'Do not sit in front of MSE all day - bad for the head and eyes!

Edit to myself. Must remember to book an eyetest - well overdue. They are free up here in Scotland.

  • Evening all :j

It's FRIDAY tomorrow - yay!!! It's been a long week

DD is currently in the bath, whilst I'm having a sneaky "go" on the puter! Have to go and wash her hair in a min, then get tea for DH (still at work) Spanish chicken (reduced cook in sauce :o ) DD had fish fingers, noodles and sweetcorn.

I'm getting a bit obsessed with knitting DD's scarf :rotfl: My house is a bomb but all I want to do is finish the scarf (I only just taught myself to knit 2 weeks ago so I'm a bit slow going ;) ).

Anyway DD is telling me "she's finished" so I better go and tackle the birdsnest that pretends to be her hair

    (((((hugs)))))
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)

    Hello again all

Is there a menu planner thread for this week or next week? I've just done the next two weeks and want to share :) Couldn't see a current one but not sure if it might have moved

    Thanks :)

I have a funeral to go to tomorrow but I have no idea what to wear:confused: should I go in black:confused: or is it better to go a little brighter:confused: bearing in mind it's a funeral for a young girl in her early twenties that had a tragic accident, ideas would be appreciated:confused:

Not hungry tonight so I cooked a chicken and we can pick at it later on.
    Lost over a stone now:T :T :T

    I need a cuppa............anyone want one??
  • Hi eveyone, happy birthday to the birthday boy.

Hugs to all who need them.

Went to Poundland in WestonSuperMare today and found some tumble drier balls. Very pleased with myself went to pay for them, the till made a funny noise and the cashier said "you can't have them, they have been taken off sale", I thought she was joking but she called the manager over and she said "don't know why, but they have been taken off sale, they may be dangerous or something"!!!!!!!!! I said they are just plastic balls how can they be dangerous? She said "can't let you have them the till won't take the code". I suggested that we rang through something else but she would not let me have them. I left the shop feeling upset.

Talk about "THE COMPUTER SAYS NO"!!!!!!!

So I went and got some from Woolies £9.99 but if the don't save me money then I will take them back and get a refund. I have asked.

Moved DD3 to a new flat today and DD1 is going to move in with her so our house will be a little emptier now. Hooray!!!! However, I will miss her and her mountains of washing.

Well must go fish and chips are arriving.

    Love Louise

Kyle - you have Dolphins up your way don't you? Would love to see them. They were off Aberdeen when we went up last month but because we couldn't get a parking space couldn't clock them! By the way, you and your Mum look fab! So sorry she is obviously on her own and you have lost your Dad!

DLB - I am going to pm you tonight! Crazychick on a love-in me thinks! Look later as I am making Chilli and just about to rinse the kidney beans! Got a french stick for 15p tonight on way home so that determined what doing with the mince. We will just use bread up to mop! We do that quite often, rather than cooking rice. 500gms mince with give us 2 x 2 plus 1 x 1. How scary the gasman can describe your house inch by inch to CC?

    Love and hugs to all

do you know the favorite colour of your friend. perhaps you can where something to match her personality. Top of some sort to go with black skirt/trousers, black jacket!

I wore all black for grandad's funeral, and a cream mix beige top with black trouses for Nanna's funeral.

    Buenas tardes

Been to Spanish this afternoon, definitely need a memory expansion. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Re an ealrier post cannot remember who now, you see what I mean, regarding bedtime with the little one. As I had always intended to go back to work (my choice) and knew I had to be away from home now and again, we made the bath/bed routine Dad's. I was involved with it, but it was Dad's.

Its queer how if I said, should Mum do it tonight, it was always accepted and never a problem, but if the routine is Mum's Dad isnt seen in the same light.

I know that it may have been on the threads time and again, but it is mentioned in quite a lot of posts, and I am a relative newbie, who sells Stardrops? I was already addicted to Microfibre cloths.

Yesterday, someone said they had been searching all over for Lambs Kidneys, we I get both Lambs Kidneys and Lambs Liver from Tesco.

Take care all, and BTW how did the New Job go?
