On the subject of cooking, I went shopping (and came back with lots of stuff I don't need and shouldn't eat so I have to stop visiting supermarkets) and have some fillet steak half price that needs using today. Luckily my salmon and lentils haven't defrosted so I can have them tomorrow. I have chillies, peppers, carrots and cabbage, so was thinking of stir-fry, but any suggestions are welcomed.
Oh... And the freezer is now full againand I also have a cauli to use up and mustn't make anymore cauli cheese...
House is a tip and I seem to have lost momentum. I need to get the boxes shifted from the study and order the wardrobe so that I can get it organised and start thinking about the spare room.0 -
I agree - if you're only getting whole dead mice, you are doing well. I get livers, kidneys and other assorted parts from mice, voles, rats, birds, fish etc... I never get whole dead animals.
Sometimes, I even get live ones and body partsx

Had an OMG day today - went to pay dh's car tax online and niticed a line on the form about MOT, searched all paperwork (cos thought it had a year's MOT when we got it in Jan and we got a free 2 year care package including MOT and haven't had a call yet) Turns out it ran out in June :eek::eek::eek::eek: Good job he is a good driver and lucky he has escaped the law and other bad drivers as well. It is now booked in for its MOT tomorrow (with another free years servicing and MOT from them to apologise for forgetting to contact us!)
DH came home early and has occupied the bathroom since with what looks like a tummy bug:( Think it might be shock from the MOT news.
Had to fill up with petrol and got a £5 Mr M's voucher and cashed in dd's latest science experiment - washing coins in vinegar to see how clean they come - so did a very mini food shop without spending an actual penny and had £1 left for my £365 challenge.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
Emergency fund £1000/£1000
Savings for big things £90170 -

After reading some of these replied Im so glad I dont have a cat :rotfl:0 -
Am about to bite the bullet and order a wardrobe from Ik*a ... I've used their planner and have come up with what looks like a sensible combination of components to make it possible to keep organised inside - a shelf and boxes at the top, and extra rail halfway down as most of what will be in there is skirt/trouser suits and there is still a full-length space one side, and a storage box at the bottom. Suitcases can go on top (I MUST sort these out, I have loads and don't use them all) and one door is birch (to match the rest of my study furniture sourced from the same place) and the other mirrored (as there is no full length mirror in the house and I really should start making an effort to check that I'm looking respectable before going out in public!).0

Had they been watching the Godfather? :rotfl:
Count your blessings it was dead. Killer cat likes to bring mice in. Alive. To play with upstairs.
And we won't talk about the live pigeon she tried to stuff through the cat flap :rotfl:
Actually it's been over a week since I've physically seen her kill anything. Do you think she's taking a Christmas break? :rotfl:I have a gift for enraging people, but if I ever bore you it'll be with a knifeLouise Brooks
