Decide what to make to take to our friends for NYE - shared meal and I am on starters and puds - no inspriation at moment but it will involve a pumpkin! Cant take down Christmas tree yet! But will remove cards. Wrap DD1 BF 21st birthday present and take her to his place this evening- his birthday tomorrow. They are going back to uni to have NY with their uni friends. Probably wont see her then til Easter as she has a very busy term ahead
. May well have a stroll around the garden and pick up twigs and branches the birch trees have scattered everywhere in the very windy weather we have had lately - will pile them up somewhere for the wildlife to make use of! BIt of a lazy non day really but will have to evict OH from kitchen soon - his new found holiday hobby - breadmaking - is beginning to drive me nuts. The results are pretty darn good though

I'm cold sitting at my desk. I've filed a lot of emails, dealt with some admin and updated a paper due for publication next month (at least one out of the three will be on time then...) but being cold isn't helping. I've had to turn the heating on, but need to have a think about how to keep warm while keeping still!0

Afternoon all
Feeling a bit, bleurgh it's over but not quite knowing what to start next. DH has painted the bathroom ceiling and ordered the wall paint. I have made carrot and lentil soup out of some reduced carrots, a huge pot and fortunately DS1 likes it too, so good for filling a teen.
I need to make a couple of phone calls and get some potatoes baking for dinner and then I think I'll write up my calander, been putting it off and I don't really know why.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Successful day at shops
Swapped the purple cowl necked sweater (I know Souk I know!!!:p) for this:http://www.mandco.com/dresses/butterfly-print-midi-dress/invt/1700235blckivory/ and a funky gold necklace to wear with it.
Actually it looks much nicer on me than the pictureBut I would never have worn the sweater so I am pretty happy with the swap.
Also scored two new to me pair of jeans for £2 a pair and 2 pairs of next size up for DS2 for 69p each. So spent a fiver ........... but Mum fed the boys so I figure I am up on the day as they don't even want to look at dinner yet:D

You are lucky Claire - two cats ago (when we really did live out in the country) it left me a dead rabbit on my pillow.
