MG - The Matrix Re-wired

Greenbee I do not expect anything of anyone, least of all MG. My comments were an observation that is all. Neither was it my intention to open a can of worms. Only to ask on the thread, questions that were troubling me. And also things that were an issue to others also. I did say in my last post, it will resolve itself. If things are not aired, they fester, and I have received a lot of food for thought within the discussion. Perhaps I should apply SUMO, after all its wont be affecting me in 6 months, so I shall just shut up and move on,0

No one should be expected to SUMO, so please don't. We all have relevant and different points of view - no one persons'. views are more important than anyone else's. We should all feel safe in expressing ourselves.0 -
Hi,
I don't think I've posted on the latest thread, but I do read everyday
I am a single girl, with no children or partner or immediate family nearby, so many of the posts maybe not immediately identifiable with. But I like it here, I like the atmosphere and I like the support that people get from each other
I've never been part of the other side, wasn't sure if it was invitation only or whether I had to ask, and didn't want to intrude.
Like many on here, I am looking to make big changes to my life to make it how I want to be. THe financial side of things, well, that's pretty serious but is pretty much under control, although I do have some big plans on alternative income streams. It's the living side of things I need help with :rotfl: although lots of things are already so different since this time last year.
Fantasia, what sort of things would you want to be seeing/discussing here? Energy levels are low, demands on people's time are high with Christmas approaching, but I'd be really interested to hear what you and other people think0 -

Vandan, I meant simply shutting up and moving on from this particular issue, nothing more x0 -

I think this is the point... We need to express ourselves, challenge what is said, raise discussion points, ask questions etc... There have been times when multiple discussions have been ongoing on here, with different people contributing to different ones. I know we all feel we have times when we just lurk, and then something comes up that encourages us to respond or contribute, but equally without the questions or ideas, there is no discussion. If lots of people are busy, or satisfied with their current situation then it may well be quiet.
Fantasia - there is no need to shut up... But beyond 'is the matrix something I need in my life right now' do you have anything that you think the group could provide input into - whether its what to do with some grocery bargain, how to make a Christmas present out of an old tablecloth, how to deal with poor management or disciplinaries at work, or how to go about setting up a new business? All of them and more have been done on here - but right now, no one seems to be asking, which may be why there are no answers. (except MG's suggestions for any errors on the fudge-making front)

Dark fudge is fine... Softer and less crumbly than others (might not have boiled it hard enough), and with a treacly flavour. I added brazil nuts to it which help with the excessive sweetness!
Oh MAN!! That sounds yummy :jfantasia322 wrote: »And recently the focus seems to be about making more and more money. I dont want to be rich, I am more than content as long as I have enough for my needs, food, heat, a roof over my head and love in my life.
That is wonderful place to be in and it is brilliant that you have found it.Perhaps something we all need reminding every now and again
And happy birthday KC

Happy Birthday KC (I said this elsewhere in cyber space as well).
As for the rest, a very wise firend of mine (Finish btw) recently told me that life has its way of resolving itself. I can talk only about my choices and I am staying; I am here (and over there; for the people who are not members you only have to ask after a period on here). If anyone needs anything just give me a shout.
KC, I am not going to shoot you but will have to clarify something. I never saw the Matrix as being about one person. Probably this is why I gave and I received; sometimes I didn't get much; but then sometimes I couldn't offer much either. My feeling is that there is a bit of the mentality of MSE forums here (which btw are not much different from multiplicity of small blogs within the large umbrella of Martin's site). They have to have a story (any blog does) but the story has to be one of deprivation, strive and eventually victory. Anybody who has appeared on the DFW forum, who can write (and many can) and can entertain (in different ways) gets a following. Few manage to keep the following when they start doin well (my hat goes off to Hypno here; though I visit with her very occasionally because I am not that interested in her latest night out; often enough to offer a hand if needed though).
People's life change, their circumstances change and this is when they continue together or not. Meetings and separations are normal in life. The Matrix is an evolving body.

Happy Birthday Karma xxx
I don't post very often, I think I am lucky that I have been on MSE for a while and a solid group of online support(that frankly I wouldn't have managed without in the last few weeks). I sort of liken this thread to watching a really good TV show, I care about the characters, I want them to be successful but I am not part of it, I simply don't have the drive or share the same beliefs. However I do really root for you all and hope that your plans work out. I am amazed and impressed by all the achievements so far. it is very inspiring. I get the impression there are a lo of Lurkers on here who support from the sidelines.
MG- I think being Debt free takes a bit of getting used to. When I became debt free in June after being in debt for years and years and thinking it was normal to have huge amounts owing to have have no really scary debts was so weird. I didn't know what to do with myself! It has taken a good six months to grasp the concept. no more loan. hmmm. that's good. lol. It is more of a change then you first realise.
Any how best of luck with it all ladies
Happy Christmas
