I think this is a good idea. However, I am not convinced that it can )or should) be one person. Why don't we make it a discussion forum where people ask questions? Or is this too wacky?
BTW, organisationally The Matrix is large and forming sub-networks is the normal way to go. Just thought to mention this one.

When I first heard about the Matrix, I didn't realise it was a DFW diary, I thought it was a group of people sharing goals/ideas, etc.
so I think this is a good idea, a discussion forum.0 -
Alot of threads on here are started by one poster and just carried on, if I think about the Decluttering thread and My Home is a mess or the saving/paying off debts threads, people just post each day, ages ago we had the fantastic Daily Chat threads, started by who ever got there first.Nevertheless she persisted.0

Daily chat is still on the OS board Buffy0

Another one here who doesn't feel she had much to contribute but has been reading these posts with interest.
I think the general feeling is that the matrix is changing, and change is a natural, healthy thing. What seems to be unsettling is that we don't know what the next stage of the development is.
I've been on MSE for a long time, and the support I've had and seen is incredible, but even the longest lasting diary posters need to move on otherwise they get stuck in a cycle of debt-DF-debt which isn't healthy (there's many examples of this).
Equally many people arrive and their diary isn't "popular" enough for them to receive the ongoing support and that's very sad and not the MSE-ethos. So I think a pooling of resources with a few projects for the Matrix at a time will help support those that need it, without becoming an emotional and financial crutch.
There's much discussion in politics/press etc. about a "hand-up" not a "hand-out" and I personally feel that the Matrix works best when it's working from that view.
Hope that ramble makes some senseNo longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

the problem I find is there are so many diaries and would take all day to post and support, so probably like me, people pick and choose where to post.0 -

Oh definitely, you could sit on here 24/7 and not catch up. But several people have similar situations - debt level vs. income level. So why not have a person to support via the matrix for say four to six months, then they have a huge support network for that time and others can learn from the advice given. No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

I've always regarded this thread and its predecessors as a virtual cafe hosted by MG, where we could drop in and have a chat with whoever is around, and get or give advice and support. And enjoy the magic of making friends in diverse locations and occupations or family situations which we would never be able to meet on the same scale in the course of RL. And as in RL friendships, learn so much about generosity, kindness, good humour and I just love the small things we talk about, the TADAs and the small daily triumphs and issues, not just the big ones.
I agree we see if it works well as a communal space to meet, discuss, support, chat, and simply hang out together with whoever is around, and take the onus off MG who has enough on her plate getting her business ideas developed.
I like it here and am happy to continue so long as everyone else is - I always look forward to seeing what everyone else is up to and I'm happy to pitch in if I can be of help to whoever needs it. It's been an absolute boon to me whilst (apart from work) I've been largely confined to barracks, and my RL social life has inevitably been curtailed by fatigue and the need to avoid light exposure etc whilst on treatment. It's made me feel a lot less isolated. Big thanks to the Matrix! :T:T
I'd miss you all so much, I vote we carry on blethering! :rotfl::rotfl:If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.
