MG What great news.
I know I get excited about little things but have never found enough on AF to warrant an order, and I do take pleasure in the little things these days.
Have spent a pleasant afternoon making cards for friends birthdays - too rainy to do much outside today.0 -
It will feel like Christmas when it arrives TDG - lovely boxes full of discounted food - fabby.
Watching the Tweets for people asking for last minute votes - think "I am out" as they say on Dragons Den. Now I can get back to "keep on keeping on"
Brrrr its chilly today - anyone else thinking of something hot n toasty for dinner?

The sun has come out unexpectedly here, so I went for a walk (ground was very soggy... An hour to do 2.5 miles because it was so slippy!) then had a quick lunch and then sorted out the boats (as it was low tide I took the bungs out of two and drained them... Then put the bungs back
), so they are all dry, bunting-free and in the right places (apart from the kayak which will be done on Friday). I went for a quick kayak but there is a cold wind, so it wasn't much fun. Now I plan to read my book in the garden until it gets too cold!
I'm resisting AF at the moment. Tempting as the oatcakes, tonic and lime cordial (amongst other useful things) are, I need to sort out my existing stores and work through them before I stock up on anything else!0 -
The sun has gone in, it has gone very dark and the sky is making loud grumbling noises:( (I hate thunderstorms as they scare me rigid). Greenbee it sounds as though you had fun sorting the boats out.
Not sure what I will have for dinner tonight - probably a jacket spud with some cheese and maybe I will be daring and add some onion too. I really need to put the chicken carcass in Sloth with some carrot and onion and water, a few herby derbies and seasoning and make myself a casserole or even soup.
When I move house I will use AF but at the moment it isnt really good for me as I am trying to run down my stores prior to moving. I should really be doing some packing but I cannot be bothered, instead I have been sorting out stuff for my interview tomorrow. Need to wash my hair too.
Oh well, time to go the lightning is getting bad and the thunder worse.:eek:0 -
I bet if we each chipped in one packet you could eat for a year LOL
Enchiladas for dinner - special request from the man of the house (tongue firmly in cheek) So just waiting for them to come out the oven.
I'm slightly pooped I must confess - but big plans for tomorrow so must get some rest and be ready to "up and at 'em" bright and early.
Kids back at school too - so dinner and showers and stories her we come

Back from my days adventures - hair now nice and brown with summery highlights instead of white streaks, ears tested and fine (just need to concentrate more then:o) eyes showing signs of my age and got reading glasses (but ever mse I went from opticians to boots and got cheapy ones as they are only for reading/stitching and I can have the advantage points thanks very much)
Have borrowed a George (Henry's cousin) from work and managed to begin the long journey back from black sticky carpets to beige.....is going to be a long journey but at least it is a free one:)
Still waiting for my AF order - it has been 'being processed' since last Thursday. Wanted it to be a surprise box for the kids to open but they will be back at school when it gets here - they do seem very slowMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Hasn't even got as far as being picked yet though....I know it will be very worth it when it arrives but have trouble with it arriving when I am not at home. No neighbours or safe place to drop it at either.
Next free date for us is now next Wednesday which is a long time to wait for the crisps I am hankering after:rotfl:Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
