Mega stressed now and I havent even put my makeup on.

The LL's chaps have been round demanding a spare key because there is a viewing today (they were told by the LL last night). I have now written a stern letter to the LL because being given zero notice is unfair and unreasonable. I also spoke to the FSB's legal helpline today who suggested I write the letter reminding the LL of his responsibilities and at the same time using words such as invasion of privacy and more importantly harassment.

My bedroom looks more of a mess as clothes that were on the floor are now on the bed, I havent washed up nor emptied the smelly bin in the kitchen.

Suppose I had better go and have a cup of tea, put my make up on and try and de-stress.

    Good Luck Horace!

Today is about you, don't worry about tidying, if you're there when the viewing happens just comment you had no notice from the landlord.

Soon you'll be moved and you'll be wondering what all the stress was about when you're sipping a nice cup of tea in your new place :)

  • Best of luck Horace for your interview.

I think the LL needs a reminder that it is still your home, although it is his property you still have rights too.

Hope everyone else is ok, have been out to do some odd jobs this morning before the forecast rain arrives this afternoon. (hoping the gale force winds decide on a U-turn though)

Mum's spending the day with us today so am off to make us all a nice lunch.

First thing I've checked too, having got back home. Hola Horace! I hope it went well.

I am back after a pretty eventful day. I left home at 1.15pm to give myself plenty of time to get there for 2.30pm but I got lost as I missed a turn and got stuck on the ruddy ring road. I nearly had a major accident as I suddenly noticed a sign for superstore and that could only mean Sainsbugs which isnt too far from the venue so I cut in cutting in front of someone but at the same time hit the kerb which was sticking out more than I thought. I may have damaged my tyre as the side wall is scraped - I will take it to the garage tomorrow. After all the shenanigans and trying to get directions I eventually arrived at 2.45pm:mad::( but I had called to say that I would be late as I was lost.

I think the interview went well as it was a very chatty one with lots of questions being asked and me answering them the best that I could. I was asked how many jobs I had applied for in the last 2 months so I said about 100 which is true and she was quite shocked, she asked how long I had been with R*mploy and I said about 2 months but since joining them I was now getting interviews. She was concerned that I had my own business which is dormant and I said that it would remain that way and if I did decide to ressurrect it then I would do evening events only and get people to run them for me and it would not impact on my job. She was impressed with me and made loads of notes. I thought the interview was rather fun. Anyway, she has more people to interview next week and will let me know at the end of the week if I have been successful - fingers crossed that I will be because I did say that I intended to stay long term and not disappear after 6 months.

I am now in my dressing gown as my clothes are a tad damp - the bed is still a mess but the stuff will go back where I found it later as I will just dump it back on the floor:rotfl:

I have been getting some rather strange quotes for my removals - one has just quoted me a minimum £195 yet others have quoted more but they seem a bit more professional even though this one has said they can provide references. I will bide my time because I am still waiting for the exchange and I need to take up references before I take on anybody - not so keen on some as I have been asked to pay in cash, cash can disappear can't it?

Horace - tell the agent you don't have a spare key. The LL should provide it. And make sure that if you are in you bolt the door/put the chain on so they don't catch you in your PJs! And remind both agent and LL that they should give you reasonable notice.

Wind here is scary :( it wasn't much fun driving back from ashburton. The patisserie class was fun, but I could have done with something a bit more technical and advanced... Croissants and pain au raisin were OK, macaroons I have done before using a different method (which I think is better, but more complicated), choux pastry was a useful reminder as I haven't done it for years... Or creme patissiere (since working in a restaurant in Paris and making it in industrial quantities!).

I keep my key in my lock at all times - no chain on the door either as the door is thin and made from ticky tacky. How strange though that I have both the keys (inc the spares) to my flat and my LL doesnt have one:rotfl:

I love choux pastry - my favourite cake is a chocolate eclair (oh and pineapple creams).:D

The weather is dreadful - the roads around here are like lakes and the wind is starting to pick up too:(

Anyway I am off to get my Home & Away fix, have a mug of tea and ponder. Might log on again later.

Just a heads up that there is tofu at 50p on A F, plus doves flour including the pasta flour. The Free P&P code (on hotukdeals) is still working too if you spend over £37.50.
