Yay!!! to the rain staying off - it has hammered down here all afternoon - but it is not due till Tuesday evening so should be OK.

Dropped kids at my Mums for the evening - now got some serious writing and editing to finish -but it is very nearly "wine o'clock".

Thanks for the link Horace, but I think her was looking for some kind of button thingie that you cut n paste onto the page like the MADS one.

I have had one of those "and then three came along at once" days - so after I compose myself I will write it up - funny old Universe isn't it?

Mum and I have had our hair cut. My hairdresser is an absolute treasure, and she chopped my hair, and did a grand job with Mum's as well. We shall look very smart next week.

Unfortunately I have had a rather panicky sounding call from my friend the Undertaker re the Orders of Service. I am not sure what the problem is... but I am dreading the telephone conversation we will inevitably have... I might have to print 120 pages all over again!! Oh well, if I do, it is not the end of the world...! The printer will get nicely run in!

New hair is always good Crickett and I am pleased that you and your mum have some.

I wouldnt fret about the undertaker either sometimes they can get bees in their bonnets about things when really there is nothing to worry about.

Suppose I had better go and get my Home & Away fix (oh I do like my trashy tv) and sort some dinner out.

    TTFN.

Back from my olds ( a two hour journey turned into a 4 hour one with small people stops!) and back with a new top and dress for dd and two new dresses for me - one will need a bit of altering but should be ok - thanks mum :)

Have made history today by taking my olds 10-pin bowling as they have never been in their 130 years between them on this earth! Dad even talked about going again!!! Dd found us a jubilee offer so £12 for 5 of us to bowl for an hour, but they weren't exactly keeping us to the hour so spent most of the morning there.

And by law of sod the AF order came today when no-one was home, going to see if they will re-deliver on Wednesday.

Long slow drive home via lots of pretty villages as the M5 and A303 were very busy so the satnag provided a more scenic route. The house I'd looking great and not as dusty as last time! I should be able to get it under control with the hoover, mop and a damp cloth tomorrow. The garden has survived under the care of next door's 7-year-old who has earned a fiver towards his next Lego purchase! Grass and hedges need cutting, and the potato vine has collapsed in the wind so needs chopping.

WM on with cleaning cloths at 90 with soda crystals and vinegar. Need to scrub DW filters and clean the fridge salad tray so I can put food away, and then start sorting laundry. My plan is to be organised ready for work on Monday, including meal plans and fitting in exercise!

First though, I need to find some supper and put some sheets on my bed!

Were you down my way Greenbee? A303/M5 is my favourite way to get to London :)

Oh PANTS!!! My buddy called me and there were several errors... all small, but significant... on the order of service. POOO! Oh well. I am going to take tonight off and do it all tomorrow! My Dad used to be a Fleet Street editor, so if I kept those errors, he'd haunt me! :D

And the other great news is that Hubby isn't working this weekend. Hoorah!! :D And he is off next week. YAY!! :D

Not quite as far as you I think... I come off the A38 at Wrangaton and then it's about 30 minutes to the village via lots of wiggly lanes!

The scenic route was very interesting.... Lots of lovely little villages I never knew existed... I'd quite like to move now :D

Very near me. Bah. You should have said - did you enjoy the storm x

It's very very pretty isn't it - there are some lovely little villages I'd love to be able to afford to live in :)

If I'd thought about it TMIF I'd have got in touch... When the weather is good I don't tend to venture out, but as I had to stay down till Thursday for my patisserie class I had some time on my hands! I may be down again in July, so OH isn't with me I'll get in touch! Storm was impressive... The sea was White, and I'm glad I emptied/pumped out the boats on Wednesday and got the bunting down!

DB has called to say that if the weather is OK he'll bring my nephew over tomorrow (if it's horrid I'll go over there as it will be boring for him here if we can't go out) so I will need to get up promptly and have a clear up downstairs so that it is vaguely child proof!

I have, however, washed all my cleaning cloths, wiped down the hall chest of drawers, banisters and landing window sill, cleaned the DW filters, put the DW on a cleaning cycle and delacquered two sets of brass doorhandles :D I must swap them all round over the weekend if I can.

Time to go and make my bed, and decide whether I have the energy for a bath before bed.

I am looking for a pair of cream muslin curtains if anyone comes across any. Not net or synthetic voile, just cotton muslin. I have a pair of white spotted ones that I'm moving into the spare room, but miss having them in my bedroom (between the blind and the curtains... I just wrap curtain wire around the pole and string them on that) so thought I'd look for some in cream but I have a feeling I'll have to make them next time I visit my sewing machine...
