Oh dear Crickett to the errors in the order of service - we can't have your dad haunting you.
Greenbee it sounds as though you are having a productive time, I wish I could say the same about me because I have been lazy tonight and not done any packing away at all but I have cooked myself 2 small lamb chops, a handful of oven chips, peas, gravy and mint sauce for dinner.
I need to get bubblewrap or maybe I will root about and see if twerp left any of his clothes here and if so they will make handy wrappings for glassware and my collection of antique jugs:rotfl: (cheaper than bubblewrap).0 -
Baby Steps Horace - will be thinking of you and Marru both beavering away this weekend.

Time to fling, fling, fling - I shall join you too in finding another stash for the Charity Shop.
Now I need to knuckle down as I have masses of writing to do today for our "big birthday party" on Monday.
Did I tell you that my Dad is horrified that my Mum is getting my sewing machine serviced for my birthday? I love my Singer, but it was in dire need of a good clean, oil and the tensionning sorted out.
So I thought a perfect gift - so did my Mum (who was actually given this machine on her 21st and gave it me on mine)
I'd rather that than some "tat" - and I'm sure my Mum will stick a bow on it:rotfl:
Funny bloke - its not as if he is the one that goes out and buys the presents any way

I have some items that I just cannot sell on FB or ebay, so have decided enough is enough. Stop trying and just give them to the charity shop! As they are registered to claim back tax for anything I donate, gift aid, that's the word, they will get a bit more for it then I am currently getting!
So bag it all up and off it goes to the charity shop.0 -
Busy day report writing while the rain pours down - positive vibes for it stopping soon as our roof has sprung a leak and is dripping into our bedroom. Think it is the flashing or brickwork on the chimney but can't imagine anyone will be going up there to investigate today
Grateful not to be flooded out like people in Wales though. Universe is having a laugh as dh got paid and had a little bonus yesterday so guess that is going on roof repairs.

Morning ladies,
The weather here is having a temporary blip and we currently have sunshine. The town carnival was meant to take place today but got cancelled yesterday due to the rain and wind, so we have this afternoon free. Although i will be settling down to watch South Africa V England in the rugby later.
Mum had her biopsy yesterday, they took 4 samples, so now we anxiously await the results. Strangely the doctor told her that nothing shows up on her X-rays at all, her lungs look perfect on them, it is only on the scan that the ground glass shows up. Trying to not google and figure it all out though, i can't change the outcome, i can only change the way we deal with it. I am asking the universe for lots of help though!
Plan today is to walk over and meet hubby from work, go and do the shopping, come home and do something nice this afternoon. Tomorrow i feel a mammoth baking day coming on, and i may try and get into the garden for a bit later to assess any wind damage and attack any bind weed that is coming through from next door and strangling my plants.
Hope you all have a great weekend, whatever your plans

MG I can totally relate to your thinking that a service for the sewing machine is a perfect present - it's practical, and it's something you want, perfect. I have an old clock that needs attention, and I have suggested several times to family that it would be a good present for me to have it seen to, but so far no one has done it.
Alison - Will be sending all positive vibes for a good outcome for mum and all of you.
Having spent all day out yesterday, I have a fete at the school next door to attend with my GS and MIL today, so no housework yet again! House is a tip, but maybe tomorrow I will find some time to clean
Hope the sun comes out and everyone has a great weekend.Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Keep up the positive sunshine vibes - rain has stopped and drips have stopped too and has spurred me into some bedroom decluttering so we can move stuff away from the leak. Friendly (and cheap) roof man has been left a message to feel free to visit at his earliest convenience

So agree with the birthday present. BF cooked me lovely dinner on mine and it was just the thing.
I better get my act together and start beavering. But I have to say that I enjoy this quiet. DD is with her dad and BF is out sorting out his boat ready for selling.
I just realised that if all goes to plan and we want to get married before the move there are only two weekends possible to do it. Either 14 July or 28 July. The latter is a bit too close to the move for my liking (especially if I want it all official in this country including changing my name) so it seems that 14th it is. Perhaps I should tell HTB (hubby to be) :rotfl:"Everything will be alright in the end. If it's not alright, it's not the end."
