Hope I haven't inadvertently sent scarlet fever across the Matrix - hope ds is better soon (will send the calpol, nurofen and calamine over asap) My ds has lost a lot of his spots now but is still quite nangy and has a tendency to fall asleep mid-afternoon.

Have achieved nothing at all this morning apart from dragging dd to dentist where she got a :T for good teeth cleaning which surprised us both.

This afternoon is going to be housework and stitching alternated each half hour - I know how to live:o

ETA: from above posts ETA - glad my DS hasn't managed to read that!!!!
    Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
    Emergency fund £1000/£1000

    Hello ladies

Sorry not been in much - too busy trotting to town for training for MnS, hospital visits and generally being too warm and lethargic. I took my car for service & MOT today and took my £99 voucher (the garage were offering a service & MOT for £99). Well the car passed the MOT without needing a re-test, I also needed a new air filter because mine was filthy (not surprising with all the dust around here) anyway my voucher was put to oneside to be re-used for someone else as it was just a postcard sized card printed on both sides. Cost altogher £117:j

I gave notice on my flat earlier this week saying that I would be leaving here on 30 June - well I arrive home from the garage about half an hour ago to find 3 lads on the doorstep saying that they were waiting for a lettings agent to show them Flat 5 - my flat! No-body had told me that viewings were going to take place - anyway the flat for their purposes is unfurnished however at the moment it is a tip with stuff piled up everywhere as I sort stuff into boxes plus I have my smalls hanging up in the living room:eek: I can see that this weekend will be spent tidying up and cleaning. The lads are due to return at the end of next week and were distressed that I hadnt been told about the viewings. It makes me wonder who else has tramped through my flat when I havent been here:mad: I know I am moving out but it has been my home for several years now so until the day I move out, I see it as my home and don't want strangers tramping through it - is this unreasonable?

I had my eyes re-tested yesterday and have now sorted out some new glasses - I have to have 3 pairs - one pair for distance, one for reading and my current ones (the ones perched on my nose now) for using when I use the computer. Cost of new glasses £127.

Alison - I would try not to worry about your mum - as for looking at the internet, that can be a scary place and certainly one for misdiagnosing ailments. I looked at the internet when I was first diagnosed with my eye disease and then when I had glaucoma - I read all the scare stories and wrongly believed that I was going to be totally blind within 12 months, well I am not although I have lost some sight in my left eye I can still see and can still drive a car and have done so since being diagnosed with glaucoma in 2002. Go and have a wonderful holiday.

Watch out ladies as there is chickenpox about - my cousin's daughter is on her second bout since Christmas and you cannot put a pin head between her spots:(

Horace, as soon as you gave notice that you were leaving the landlord has the right to show the property to potential renters/buyers. BUT they have to give you notice of when the viewings will be.
Do not meddle in the affairs of Dragons, for thou art crunchy and good with catsup :D

@ Dragon I knew that the landlord would want to conduct viewings but he hasnt had the courtesy to let me know when - it seems that now any of his agents can wander in and out as they please now:mad:. It was a shock to have someone on the doorstep with no notification whatsoever. I am now wondering who has been in my flat when I have been out:mad:

I have made a start on the tidying as there is much to be done because to be honest I never bothered when I was depressed - now it depresses me just looking at the mess but I am making small in-roads. I have acknowledged that I was becoming a hoarder - almost as bad as those on the tv but not as bad thankfully:o I am sorting boxes out to put my papers in as I have many that need to be kept. Thankfully I have loads of magazine files in my office with various directories and magazines that I want to keep. It just needs me to tackle one room at a time instead of jumping from room to room like I am doing now. A more concentrated effort will take place over the weekend after all we have 4 days and I have 4 rooms that need sorting out (the kitchen isnt too bad).

Gemmzie - it is not too late to back out:rotfl: Seriously congratulations and I hope it all goes well.

MG - I have bin bags and lots of tea and I shall have lots of breaks. I have to watch my back anyway because I have pulled some muscles in it, gawd knows what sort of gymnastics I was doing in my sleep last night to wake up with a bad back:eek:
