Aw shame - how horrible to all itchy when its hot, truly miserable!!!

Finally got hold of my "Finalist" Button for the MADS ........... been a bit of a saga BTW - so Mr F has slapped it up on the blog and I am feeling suitably proud.

So now need to gather my forces and start letting peeps know - maybe after a cup of coffee and a biscotti methinks (Because I am worth it LOL)

    MG

Righto - facebook and twitter all done as you told me - fingers crossed

    Well done MG :)

    LinkedIn done for you too...

Still not packed for holiday BUT
    • all laundry is washed and most of it dry
    • Upstairs floors are hoovered and washed
    • cushions have been washed, are on the line and just need frying in the TD
    • cushion covers are back from the ironing lady
    • brass clock as been delacquered (with nail polish remover) and cleaned (with lemon juice and then yogurt)
    • two sets of brass door handles, tie back hooks and front door furniture have been delacquered (with hot water) and then cleaned with yogurt
    • suitcase has been unpacked and most of the stuff put away
    • extra furniture is out of the study and back on the landing
    • speech therapist has been called and will call me back...
I still need to collect my dry cleaning, get cash to pay for decorating, send off my fit note, make the speech therapy appointment, put my suitcase away, check whether any more expenses have come through (hope they do come through soon or I'll be hit with late payment charges...). I also need to put the clean laundry away, sort out clothes to pack, clear up downstairs (it's a tip), scrub the paint flecks off the hall floor, hoover behind the sofa (lots of dead woodlice), take the garden waste to the tip, weedkill (again) the front lawn, clear out the car, find the roof rack and put it on the roof, find my kayaking kit to take with me, extract the kayak from the shed, pack the car, put the kayak on the roof.

Wonder when I'll get round to leaving

Much done and much to catch up on.

I have another housewarming pressie for my house - a purple leaved heuchera with bright orange flowers for my front garden. I shall plant up the front with low growing plants that come up year after year and in the autumn will plant crocuses and tete a tetes.

Feeling a tad queasy tonight - feel a bit stuffed, maybe I shouldnt have had the two dollops of cold rice pud (reduced price in MnS) with some fresh strawberries. I got a few bargainous items in there this evening as I went to return some clothes I bought the other day as they didnt fit but a pair of jeans and a shirt sort of magicked themselves into a skirt:cool:

I did really well at the MnS assessment today - we have more tests before we are considered suitable to work in store. The pass mark was 75% so in one test I got 85%, another 100%, certainly for a teamwork questionnaire I got 100% correct but I am unsure of the role play mark. A decision will be made tomorrow as to who goes forward.

Saw a helpdesk job going near me too - it would be ideal as I could walk to work and the walk would take 15 mins at a slow amble and 10 mins as a normal walk. The pay is pretty good too. Anyway the application is in so fingers crossed.

When I am a bit more compus mentis I will catch up with the rest of the thread. Off to check emails now and then I will go and plonk myself on the sofa and let this queasiness pass.l

Where once I was a buxom hourglass - and am now a busty rectangle (and not the apple I though I was)

This is what I am aiming for http://www.modcloth.com/shop/dresses/cinch-you-asked-dress

But it will be "fit n flare" from the empire line under the bust rather than tight around the torso (if that even makes sense) LOL
    MG

The dress looks lovely and LOL at the 'busty rectangle' (which, you, btw are not). If I were to be a bit flipant I'll say: 'At least you are 'busty''.

Sorry to hear; scarlet fever is a serious thing (I had it and at the time it was very serious in that it could have cosequences for some organs like heart and kidnies). Hope your boy gets better soon.

Definately the £10 sofa challenge cos it really is brilliant
Is Frugal the New Black really does sum up your take on things
Your new latte challenge is a contender, but I think I am leaning towards the 'curry in a hurry' as it is very frugal, versatile and tasty!!

    And how!!!!:rotfl:

Measurements don't lie - unfortunately:mad: But I am happy as I thought I was heading towards a more "Apple" shape.

See Pears - narrow, middling, wide
    Rectangles - middling, middling, middling
    Apples - middling. wide, middling

So my shape is "busty rectangle" -

Hello Boys!! - middling ,middling :rotfl:

So at least this frock fits from the bust and flares over he rest - with the advantage that weight coming off and waist definition reappearing will just make it even more lovely on.

Nice lady-like length and court shoe heels will make it classy. Hate to see ladies with it ALL going on - Boobs, midriff, short skirt, skyscraper heels ............ too much!! Far tooo much LOL
