Well tomorrow is quite a big day. I found out by accident that a meeting of all the people who make decisions about those of us who do the work is scheduled for tomorrow - when they will discuss amongst other things what where when and how my job will change. I havent been told that the job will come to an end and have kept all minutes of meetings and emails that say 'dont worry your job will still exist', but I trust none of them:mad:

Maybe a restless night ahead. Off to yoga now to try and relax:)

Sorry I must have missed this Igamogam - hope that they sort something out that suits you and that you can get some sleep tonight.

In fact if the sun is still out come three o'clock I am taking the boys out for a beach supper - we go straight from school, spend a few hours exploring the rock-pools and paddling then have a supper of "dippy" bits before coming home for bed (just a little bit late).

    MG

Ooh rock pools and paddling - still two of my favourite things :D. When I was wee we used to go out for the day - me and a friend or me and sis, with sandwiches and juice. We'd spend hours looking in rock pools and paddling at the water's edge and playing on the sewage pipes [yeuch but we didn't know :o]. Then swimming in the outdoor pool then a poke of chips with brown sauce on the way home - magic.

In those days no one worried if we were out all day - times have changed I think :p. Glad you had a good time and everyone is tired but happy :D

Horrible hotel, no sleep, and now I've got a handheld microphone for two one hour presentations. Any ideas why I'm not very happy?

ETA - I now have a lapel mike... The organiser isn't very happy with the location so far and I suspect he is making his displeasure fairly clear!

Hi, as Greenbee says FB a good idea ( I don't do Twitter but sure others do)

Also Les Mis cast did a You Tube request for votes in the Olivier Awards. Is this something you could do on a smaller scale then everyone could pass the link on?

Having sorted the photo issue the other day its doing it again:mad: and interenet on a major go slow:mad: so going to ignore them for a while and tackle the major ironing mountain, do some cooking and a menu plan for the weekend.

Got my friend from Yorkshire coming for the weekend so it will be a weekend of lots of chat, garden centres, bargain shops and the odd drop of wine.
Got planned so far some retail therapy, restoring my Mum's memorial bench in the church yard and also badger watching. I have a nightly visitor in my garden but so far haven't spotted him, haven't quite worked out what time he's coming!

Onwards and upwards. Have a good day.

  • Hurray! I'm wired to the world again.

BT engineer came to the door to tell me this morning - having been at the nearby junction box - I felt like kissing him! But restrained myself. The washing machine has also been repaired this morning (two separate faults) so by 9.45 I was completely de-gremlin-ed, which feels fantastic.

Great news MG about the competition - will make sure I vote. Glad you had a good time at the beach.

Horace - wish I lived near you and could help with packing up and moving. I hope all works out re job interviews. And congrats on being so close to decree absolute.

I've been so busy that I'm quite shocked to have almost a whole day without any definite plans. So will do some tidying, and catch up with the washing. And think about my tiny rectangular garden. I fancy trying some vertical growing along the fences, e.g. using shoe organisers - pockets given drainage holes and filled with compost, for growing salad veg and herbs. I've been given loads of wild strawberry plants which might live happily in pockets too.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

  • FB and twitter and your blog definitely MG... link on your FB page and ask friends to spread the word. A mate of mine from work won some voting model comp because of that. :)

  • Thanks Robsmum. There are fancy vertical growing systems you can buy, like Verti-grow, but they cost a packet so I think the MS version is worth a try!
