Just seen the news about the earthquake Greenbee - I hope you are okay? And FW, you have family there too, lets hope and pray everyone is safe and the damage is not too bad. My thoughts are with you.Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21

Apparently no casualties, although a few people have apparently had problems with highg blood pressure from the stress. Looks like no damage in Sofia, but the epicentre was several miles away.
People are unsurprisingly late turning up to today's presentation.
Hope FW's family are all ok... If there is anything I can do while I'm here let me know...0 -
Ooop! hope you are all OK Greenbee. I've had some of the Luttennitza at FW's - but all the online recipes don't have peppers in them. FW's jar is more like salsa but less spicy. I promise if I find a recipe we will make some.
Is the aubergine one like baba ganoush - cos aubergine season will soon be upon us?
Keep on keeping on Hopeful - the end will soon be here and then you can take stock about moving on with a solid plan.
School photographs today - so I am off to make sure DS1 looks respectable. DS2 is complaining that he doesn't look like himself this morning after his haircut LOL.
OOO nearly forgot - DS1 has asked to move onto the "summer lunches" -so those looking for rice, pasta, coucous and wheat based lunches there will be some coming up.

Baba ganoush... That's what I was thinking of. Still a bit tired! It was similar, but chunkier and looked like it had other things in it. I've told my colleague here that he needs to get the recipes from his grandmother and send them on to me! Or maybe we should get FW working on providing and testing some traditional recipes!
Am very, very tired... Expect I will sleep on the plane to Athens!0 -
Guys, the recepies are not a problem - these things are mostly simple and time consuming to male. Greenbee, sorry you had to experience an earthquake - Sofia has not had one for decades. Just spoke to my sister and they are all fine - in fact given it was so strong it is a sign of quality building that there are only couple of houses ruined at the epicentre which is in the gypsy part of town in a nearby place. It was very, very troubling when it happened, though so many people were afraid,
My sister doesn't know what has happened to our appartment but if it had fallen down she would have heard on TV. So all is well, and Greenbee thanks for your offer to help. As to invitations, you are always welcome to our place in Sofia - you have probably guessed it is in the best part and very convenient for the city cenntre (walking distance to the posh shops where I can't shop - only ly arm fits in most clothes).
This kind of thing puts things in perpective a bit - most of the time we worry about the worng thing. I have been spending my time worried about the euro but this morning my only thoughts were about my sister, my niece and her son. Make you think.

FW and Greenbee: Glad all are safe and well. Certainly makes you think about what really matters.
I have spent afrustrating hour trying to import pictures from my camera, so I can get rid of some more clutter. Done this many times but they have gone into windows picture gallery and I can't find them in my pictures apart from recently imported:eek: and from there I can't upload them:mad: I guess I wasn't meant to do this today. Ok Universe, I give in on that front please sort it out for later.
Otherwise still ticking things of the lists and slowly getting my house restored.

FW - there appears to be very little damage as far as we have heard here (although your sister probably hears more as a. she has access to the media, and b. she speaks the language!). I hope someone can go and check up on your apartment soon, but most important is that no one is hurt.
I guess it's a life experience, but certainly not one I want to repeat if I can avoid it! Just getting a bit of work done before heading off for the next flight!0 -
Hi folks, BT have cut off both internet and phone, something to do with work at the exchange according to the chap in the Indian call centre I called at great expense from my mobile...
I'm online in my lunchbreak in a library in a nearby town where I'm working today. I'll be back when BT have got their act together! Sorry to hear about the earthquake and I hope it doesn't cause too much disruption.

Yikes at the earthquake Greenbee - hope you are ok? Must admit that I havent switched on the news today nor caught up with emails or the internet. I hope my cousin is ok because she is working out there and has been there for the past 3 years with the Foreign Office (I think she is hoping for a posting elsewhere).
I have a busy few days and have just worked out that I am at the R*mploy offices on Thursday of this week as well as Monday and Tuesday of next. I have been put in for more jobs - one is a part time job working 3 days a week making telephone calls but the offices are in a little village not far away (alas not walkable).
I nipped into Primarni this morning whilst it was quiet and spent £8 on knickers (did get 8 pairs). I also fell in love with some teal coloured towels and if I can afford them will nip in there on Monday on the way to R*mploy to get them especially as they are in the sale and the XL bath sheet is £3.90.
Came home via Ald* spending £2.45 on veg and bits, then I nipped into the curtain shop and rented two curtain samples (cost £10) as I have to have different curtains in the front bedroom than those I had originally planned.
Discovered that I need to give 28 days' notice that I intend to move out. I shall say that intend to move out on 28 June which is 28 days or thereabouts. Gawd I have so much to do e.g. clear out all my rubbish, pack stuff up, sort out removals etc.0
