Does anyone know how to resize the page on Google Chrome? When Mg posts a picture it makes the page so wide it won't fit in my browser - but don't stop posting the piccies MG!!!

When I used Internet Explorer I used to be able to fix that but I can't work out how to do that in Chrome.

    Any one know?
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

OOps sorry hon - maybe it is something I am doing wrong - would be better if the piccies were a bit smaller -like they are on the blog. So if anyone knows how to do that it would be fab.

Now filled out the kids "school" dates up until the end of 2013 - term times, holidays, insets and Bank Holidays all accounted for I think. Now I have a framework to work around.

DS2 has been for his haircut - no longer looks like "Horrid Henry".

Now onto transferring the money from S to the mortgage account

    Good afternoon ladies

Sorry I have been missing in action - I spent yesterday at my parents and came home with £50 pocket money and some food plus two funny yet romantic books. I wasnt expecting to be given any money and hate to say it but I did treat myself to a taxi to save me from walking miles across town in high heels (spent £6.80 on a cab fare:eek:) I did get the bus back into the city centre though and the bus cost me £3.80 for a daysaver and it was used well with a few bus trips. Oh bother, just remembered that I forgot to my take my prescription into the chemist (I need to collect the out of stock items) and i have been to the village already to get some passport pics done and buy some li)ned paper.

I had the interview this morning - and I am pleased to say that I didnt get the job (it was my idea of hell and I wasnt overly impressed with them anyway as they were quite tardy). On Friday I was called by the jobcentre tipping me off about a 16 week casual job working for them which could lead to permanent work, I had to call this morning so waited until lunchtime when I got home from town. The upshot is, I have to attend an assessment day on Friday at 9am where I prove to them that I can read, write and do rithmetic. I was asked to take my passport (which has expired - when I said it had expired I was told to go and renew it so I said that I was unemployed and too expensive:rotfl:). It cost me £5 to have my passport pics done as it is:eek:

Boggled at the passport pic place (inside the village post office) as they suggested that I remove my glasses before having my picture taken - if I did that then I wouldnt be able to centre my eyes because I cannot see without them..I look different with my glasses off which seems a bit mad when it comes to passports. I thought the picture had to show you as you were e.g. with glasses - if they wanted something else then I am sure I could draw a caricature:eek::rotfl:

The contracts should be exchanged this week too:j Oh gawd, I havent done any packing and I have a whole heap to sort out plus I need to get insurance. Mum suggested that I try Age Concern or Saga for insurance even for my car:eek:

As of 10.15am when I had my hearing - I now have a decree nisi:j (just waiting for the papers). This is the first stage to complete happiness.

I have decided to sell my wedding ring and engagement ring as well as a few bits of jewellery that I already know the amount I will get and plan to use this money to buy something really useful - a much needed lawnmower. Mum has turned a piece of gold jewellery that she never wore into £37 which is being used to buy some trellis for her own garden. Mind you, we were eyeing up chickens at the garden centre so she could end up with a few Light Sussexes as apparently my grandad kept about 20 of them during the war so they had fresh eggs every day. She also shared her memories of the war and having to sit under the huge kitchen table whenever there was an air raid on when the germans tried to bomb the works at Longbridge.

Hi, my friends. I have been off for a long time now - too much other things to do; but I did still read so I am up to date with all that has been happening.

Today is, apparently, my day: the day of the firewalkers. I did explain sometime ago that firewalking in Bulgaria is a religious ritual done on a particualr day of the year - it is today.

So let's see what will the day bring; I have some editing to do and send another paper to a journal; have to do a job for the Irish (don't ask) and have to go to the gym - this marathon in October is not going to run itself.

I haven't seen anyone fire walking today, although I have visited the alexander Nevski cathedral and seen his finger bone. And been told that it is the feast of St Constantine and St Helena. Later this week there is a holiday to celebrate the Cyrillic alphabet. The weather is lovely, and so is the city. One day I'll have to spend more than 36 hours here....

I've opted for fixed width with one of my browsers and it's sorted the problem... MG you need to check the image size options when you post :)

Suppose I should do a bit of work before dinner

Aww congratulations Horace on your decree nisi - and (almost) exchanging the contracts for the new house. Good luck on the job front - sounds like there are a few exciting bits coming up. Hopefully the end of the year will see you newly and happily single, employed and living in your own lovely house! :D

FW - I always wondered where your name came from. How wonderful. Happy FW day!

The food here is fabulous. Bulgarians do seriously good salads...

FW - can you share some recipes please? I had a delicious aubergine dip, and a roasted pepper/tomato one which I was told was the Bulgarian version of ketchup (and in a totally different league).

If my presentation is good tomorrow maybe they'll invite me back :D

I know the food is great. I buy the tomoato and roast pepper dip from the Turkish shop here (it is Bulgarian, though). It is called Lyutrenitza, can'y make it. Salads are good because the veg is good - can't make good tomato salad with the tomatoes sold here.

Hi Ladies! I've not properly caught up, but wanted to say hello.

It's peaks and troughs here. I have a couple of issues that are causing me grief, but if i follow the processes I should be ok. I have considered taking a restraining order out on the postman! Last week, after a series of bad letter days, I did think of you MG. I know it's something you've mentioned. I've been reading the parts of your blog that come through on my 'phone but haven't caught up properly with that either. I will have to soon, as my son is v keen for me to try the curry recipes you've been posting up!

The main things is the house sale is heading in the right direction, but the little things being picked up by their solicitors are costing me money!! It seems with each day my debt is increasing but the long term objective is the most important. I'm doing a lot of 'sucking it up' at the mo!!

To counter the worries, my 1st serious start at my little venture has begun very positively. I am busy trying to tweak and organise myself. I feel very excited and am confident that this path is the one that will give me some financial freedom. I can really see that if I keep working, I'll be able to provide for my boys without a constant fear and worry of not being able to afford anything. As it stands I do not have enough income to cover my outgoings. I have decided that in 6 months that won't be the case. Enough's enough.

Horace, congratulations! I can imagine what a sense of relief that must be.

Firewalker - what a fab celebration! I'd never heard of that before.

Congratulations to you Marru! How exciting to find your dress.

I really hope everyone is well :) Time for bed!! Night all :A
