    Flipin awful day at work
    absconding mad frog and overreacting head. I have to come up with some strategies before mad frog returns as they are now 'excluded' and 'think very carefully if this is the right setting' Well mad frog has been with us for 18 months and never tried this one before................. Mad frog did return and was never out of sight BTW. Worrying yes but not needing a knee jerk reaction.........always happens in my line of work - the knee jerk :(

    Sympathies Igamogam - running and jumping mad frogs are tricky little things, but if it's anywhere like up here then the alternative 'right settings' have all but disappeared. I have this week gained a very big and scary mad frog and lost a shiny green smiley one :( My loss is definitely someone else's gain - am tempted to lock the door to prevent him going, a kind of anti-exclusion.

    Over-reaction also understandable with my boss hat on though - he/she is responsible if the mad frog should have an accident/get lost etc while awol regardless of what made the frog jump. Am still glad to work with frogs rather than mini-robot-goves any day :)

    I know what you mean but the head overreacts to everything. Unfortunately they dont understand the frogs needs either but are happy to make use of me when the mainstream teachers want rid of their mad frogs......pronto:mad: Also they always appear during an 'episode' promising the earth but never quite fulfilling it IYSWIM. They believe the job is a walk in the park but then they are never there to pick up the pieces:(:mad: Well it may all well come to an end soon and I will be moving on - think this incident has just played into heads hands:mad:

    Goves robots......must remember that one:rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning Matrix. Up with the larks this morning as I decided that I might as well be vertical and coughing and wheezing when that is all I am doing when I am horizontal. I suspect I will be a very tired Crickett by this afternoon, so I am going to attempt to pace myself today. This is a massive challenge for me; I never pace myself at anything. I go at 100 miles per hour at everything. So today, my personal challenge is to do what needs doing at a pace that I can cope with. Who cares if it takes me all day to hoover the house? It is more important that it is done, than how quickly I managed to do it.

    I must confess, there seems to be a lot of work to do. I definitely need to hoover the downstairs (cue lots of barking from Dotty) and it would be great to clear the stairs and hoover them and then hoover the bedrooms as well. Both the downstairs WC and the upstairs bathroom need a "proper" clean, rather than a quick swish, if you know what I mean, and the hallway and kitchen floors both need a sweep and a mop. Then there is dusting and polishing, getting the mountain of washing down to something manageable, and I have an urge to change the sheets, towels and all that kind of stuff along with airing the house if it is not too cold. I want to try and get rid of all the bugs in this place. Luckily, I do not have anywhere to go today (other than take Dotty on her trots around the park, or a bit further if we feel adventurous!) and my hubby is out at a Church meeting this evening, so I literally have all day and some of the night to do all of this. Just as well. It is quite a list.

    I also have some bananas who were trying to get me to discuss the world political situation with them last night. I need to use them before they evolve their own social order and try and take over the kitchen and then the world. Does anyone have a good recipe using them?! :D

    Okay you lot. Sending HUGE positive vibes out to you all, especially Marru. If you haven't heard from your two interviews, I would call them. Say you need to know and were curious. I have done that on numerous occasions. :D The Universe will provide when the opportunity is exactly right.

    Wowsers crickett - thats some list. Think the only banana recipe I have up is the "breakfast bars" but they are well worth making, or banana muffins always go down well in this house.

    Ladies with jumping frogs - my hat is off to you. I agree that the may easier to work with if the "knee jerk" reactions were taken out of the equation. I am trying so hard to raise DS1 not to be such an issue - and it seems like the Universe keeps sending me people saying I'm in the wrong and should run around and do everything for him. Grr!

    Sssh!!! But today looks like being dry enough to get outside and finish my desk top - so fingers crossed. Good frugal fun after the depressingly large spends of yesterday LOL

    Morning Crickett, ummm if you are not well why does the house need cleaning? The dust will be there still when you are better and I don't think your house is so bad that this would be the last chance saloon of keeping it remotely hygienic. REST and get better.

    I have emailed and called the agent so must now sit and wait, can't really do more.

    So today is the last half day, when I am back after lunch time I can feel a mind map (or several) coming up. Need some realistic planning.

    In my head, I know you are right Marru... but I feel really guilty when I am at home and not doing anything. Even if I am ill. :o It makes me :mad: that I do this to myself... but I can't help it. And besides, I will be coughing my guts up whatever I do, so tell myself I may as well be productive! I know. I am weird. :( If it helps, I will be doing that work spread over about 14 hours. And my house isn't that big. Even doing it at a snails pace I should have it all done in a couple of hours. With frequent tea and doggy fussing and kitten cuddling breaks! :rotfl:
