Glad you enjoyed it Crickett, really pleased that you left on a high.
Marru, will keep those vibes coming.
Hugs to OH Dorastar. So glad you enjoyed Rhod Gilbert though. I haven't seen this tour but saw the previous two and could not stop crying with laughter, he is so funny.
Have had a bit of a spendy weekend, including booking a Sun holiday which was a bargain treat, so have to get back on the straight and narrow.0 -
Morning my lovelies - my kitchen is looking quite a bit better today - amazing what a deep clean can achieve. Haven't done inside the oven though.
Camera charged up overnight - so if you want to see what a weekly shop looks like for us there are now pictures n stuff.
But first - cuppa an the boys want pancakes for breakfast

Morning Matrix.
Feeling slightly better this morning, though still speaking Basso Profundo. Not sure how I am going to manage to sing Soprano this afternoon at our extra choir rehearsal... in fact, currently thinking whether I am going to go to that or not. Part of me says yes, go. Learn the music, I just don't have to sing. The other part of me says Hell no, I need to stay in one temperature and can someone pass me the electric blanket. Not sure which will win out yet.
The weather here is UTTERLY vile at the moment. Hubby has drawn the short straw and he is taking the Dotster out this morning. I suspect she will do the necessary as quickly as she can. When given the option to go into the back garden this morning, she put her nose out, looked up and Daddy with a look on her face of "Its okay Dad, I'll put a cork in it!". Not daft our dog. Not daft at all!
So today is a day of rest for me. Not going to plan to do anything, although a bit of shopping and cooking is in order. Need some vitamins and minerals after my night on the tiles! Time for hot shower and dressing as if for mid-winter so I can sweat the poorliness out. And later, I might just HAVE to have a hot toddy with Manuka honey!

Clean and sparkling bathroom (made my own tile and grout cleaner so even the groutlines are white - Yayyyy)
Windows open - cos all of my cleaning potions are vinegar based - doesn't take to long for the smells to dissipate though.
Now need to mix up some window cleaner and give them a once over and then all that is left is the ironing............... leave that till 9pm tonight.
Got a butternut squash in the fridge (mum bought but didn't fancy soup) so I am thinking Thai curry tonight with some lovely veggies - squash, pepper, red onion, green beans and cauliflower with thai rice on the side.
Yup- that sounds like a plan

Slightly silly question, but how often should you clean an oven and how?
Obviously I wipe it when it gets dirty but totally lost on how to properly clean it.
Also, why don't men see dirt the same way we do?No longer using this account for new posts from 20130 -

They dont see laundry, the dish/spoon that got missed out of the DW when there was still plenty of room, the shopping thet needs putting away and the bl00dy jar of chutney they put on their cheese sandwiches that has sat on work top for a week and hasnt been put away too:mad::D
Dont get me started on the tools lying around on their way to the shed...................:rotfl::rotfl:Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

Whenever your plum crumble overflows and fills the bottom of the oven with smoking sugar syrup - YUP!!! MG has disasters too :rotfl:
The upside was the the crumble was mega lush
I wipe it out every time I use it - but TBH I mostly use my wee table top oven so Oven hasn't had the once over since before Christmas:eek:

Seriously no chance of a flippin drought here anytime soon - has been lashing it down all week bar a sunny hour or two on Friday/Saturday. Today is sideways torrential and very cold stuff which is keeping me indoors working. My garden looks lush and green but haven't got anything but dandelions growing atm. Veg soup and breadmaker on to warm up house - can't believe I am even contemplating such things in April.
OH seems much better today but then he has every day recently - think it might be the anti-b's he is on making his chest/throat better but his stomach etc worse. Will wait and see how he gets on later.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly
