Weirdness this evening - have been sorting out finances and worked out what I would like to overpay into mortgage each month, phoned up one dormant credit card to cancel it to be told the card is in credit for exactly the amount I decided I needed to overpay each day!!!! Spooky:eek: A cheque is on its way.
how fantastic is that! Universe needs to start sending me money please! We are really struggling at the moment. Am looking at every legitimate online money making thing I can do at the moment.0 -

Great financial news Dora and MG!
Thinking of you Aesop, and sending positive vibes for you as well.
I have an uncomfortable feeling that I am being a bit of an ostrich when it comes to our financial situation. It is not a pleasant thing to have to type, let alone confront, especially when I have just walked out of a well paid job sticking two fingers up as I went. In my head I know we can manage. Hell, there are people with six kids who manage on the salary my husband brings home.
Yup... I think this is the wobble I was worried about. I did do the right thing, I know I did. And we can manage. I know we can. But I do NOT like this panicky feeling in the pit of my stomach. AT ALL!
On the upside, I am going into Old Snottingham today to meet up with my former Associate Dean who is retiring. We are going to have a coffee and a natter, and I am really looking forward to it!It will not be a no-spend day, but it will be fun, and sometimes you have to pay for fun don't you? Not often, but occasionally.
Time for lunch. Not sure what to have... feel like comfort food. Mac and cheese it is then.

... a wee bit of financial abundance here too. A cheque came in the post today, which will ensure the cost of flitting two weeks tomorrow is nicely covered. Perfect timing! Thank you Universe! If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Have emailed a few friends on facebook who work in London etc to see if they know of anything... of course, it's not always what you know, it's who you know as well! I think my big holiday and unknown operation date are all factors counting against me.

I know just how you feel Aesop. I am not spending money on anything but essentials - well yesterday went out for the day and spent £12 on lunch for me and DD2 and as that was the first non house day this holiday I didn't feel too bad - in the past I would have been out a few times, bought stuff on Ebay for work, spent money in garden centre but I have been very good and still I feel the debt is as big as ever:o So much so I have put off what I promised myself I would do and have a big 'finances' day and get stuff filed etc etc - well 4 days left til back in work so there is time I guess. Chin up Aesop something will come along soon:)
Lovely day here - garden beckonsBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
