 flippin  at self - so busy concentrating on not hitting scaffolding, van and a rather nice builder outside a friend's house I instead reversed my car along the end of her hedge and have scratched right along the side - couldn't even swear as had kids in car bit what a flippin muppet and  at me. Have t-cutted it but is still there to remind me of my stupidity and will need doing properly at some point in my life.
Apart from that dh has finished the mammoth tidy up I started downstairs and we have floors in every room again. All mini Doras are well again as am I although the heating has refused to re-start after I shut it down during our mini-summer last week.Mortgage £119,533 going down slowly

My DS is 7, (well nearly) is doing well at school, above average for state education, has always been independent and has been brought up to value independence etc gets to make his own decisions about some things, hopefully you have a reasonable picture. Would you consider that its too early to start to teach him mindmapping skills? I need to do more research as well. I don't want him to be overstretched and then not be interested, so I thought I would ask a pro.
your DS sounds lovely, intelligent
this is how I first learnt about mindmaps

but I know MG will be able to give you much better advice and be a sounding board.

Hurray! I'm now off work till Tuesday. As a distraction from packing up the house, I'm taking a friend who needs a wee break not too far away for a Travelodge one-night deal, £6 each. Then a free meal on Monday night (Thank you Tesco vouchers) before I drop her off.
Last year we used the Tesco vouchers for admission to Blair Castle. Gone for gluttony instead this year! Although we're 'doing' a palace on Sunday, so really the best of both worlds I guess.
Before then, more packing up. Good incentive to get it done to enjoy time off for good behaviour.
I hope everyone has a Happy Easter when it comes :EasterBun- I may not manage back on before Sunday. :easter_baIf you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Morning Matrix,
Had a bit of a lie in this morning, so everything is later than it should be! Can't believe I have had Dotty for a whole week now! Time flies when you are dashing about with a lively dog!!
Have a long list of things I want to do today, and I have a counselling appointment as well. Not sure how much of it I am going to get done though because I have a HUGE case of the Can't-be-A*sed's! We'll see.
Have a great day, and a great Easter. I am effectively moving into Church for the next few days, so I will see you on the other side!!"A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort"Herm Albright 1876-19440 -
Nice lie-in here too Crickett and woken up by gorgeous sunshine so planning to get all windows open, washing on line and start on the amazonian jungle aka back garden.
Dd is insisting on baking cakes this afternoon so I may have to help licking spoons etc.:pMortgage £119,533 going down slowly

Positive vibes Gemmzie :grouphug: Hope you're feeling okay at the moment.
Groatie, your weekend plans sound lovely.
Aaaargh just had a stressful meeting with my conference organising buddies. I usually compromise on a decision but today I held on. We were 2 vs 2 and it took an hour to decide. One of the others folded, and now I feel so guilty. I hate confrontation.
Better get on with work now as I am really behind!
Happy Thursday peeps, but it's really Friday today. Well I hope to have that Friday feeling later chilling out with a bottle of wine :rotfl::A :heartpuls June 2014 / £2014 in 2014 / £735.97 / 36.5%0 -
