MG - The Matrix Re-wired

Hello peeps not around much yesterday as I decamped to the living room sofa and spent time on it watching cruddy tv and generally doing nowt.
Freshair - I know someone who goes into schools to teach mindmapping to primary age kids and upwards - he is a lovely chap who taught me and he learnt to mindmap at the same time as MG (in the same class I believe:D).
I am very grumpy today - Mum is absolutely livid. She spoke to the agents today (they tried to phone her yesterday but she didnt hear the phone), it would appear that the vendors are not happy and are now saying that they want the house to be remarketed, the carpets are not staying and will be ripped out and that mum is being unreasonable. Mum told the vendor that the offer was made and accepted on the basis of the survey and the survey said it needed lintels to be fitted and the offer reflected that. She told the agents that there is also a problem with the roof (no ventilation) but she is trying to be fair as she was an executor of a deceased estate once and knows what a sensitive time it is. As the vendors have spent 6 weeks messing us about, Mum has asked to view a property in a nearby road - this has 2 beds, a through lounge diner, fitted kitchen (with fitted ceramic hob), double glazing, central heating, it has a front garden and a back garden as well as a garage around the back. It has a lovely view of a green space as well. Hopefully Mum (and me) will be looking at it tomorrow. The agent has said that the market is very slow at the moment and that the vendors of the house will have a problem when it comes to the remarketing as no-one except us wanted to view it. It seems that the agents are not too pleased either because the chap that spoke to them was incredibly rude. One wonders what they are thinking when they have a cash buyer willing to go - searches have been done and all we have been waiting for is them to provide the paperwork that has been requested repeatedly and then a contract can be drawn up.
Anyway best scoot - I have to go to the drs to see the health trainer, he will be pleased because I am now eating breakfast every day and have done so for the past 3 weeks:j0 -
House buying is horrible Horace - hope this sorts out in the best way x0

My work for the third month in a row have not paid my wages! I have called and told them 2 dd have bounced! Now will have to go to bank and ask them not to charge me for privilege as this seriously was not my fault!
Certainly time for a new job - this sounds bad. Thinking of you.

Sending hugs and positive vibes for Gemzie and Aesop.
Horace, I do hope you and your Mum both like the other house and it is in the right price range.
I would love you to be able to walk away and leave the vendors of the current house stuck - suspect the agents would like to walk as well.0 -

Oh Aesop that's no good! It's no way for a business to be run either. Positive thoughts for you and Gemmzie.
Horace - perhaps the house you're due to view tomorrow is 'the one'. The vendors don't seem too eager to let go of the house. Perhaps the emotional tie is too much for them at the moment?
Lara - you obviously believed in your view, so good on you for sticking with it. If you'd conceded would the other person have felt guilty? Enjoy your wine!!
I'm chuffed about the free listing too as I have 're-acquired' stuff from the old house that I don't want, need or even know what it is!!I've made 3 trips to the tip and put a few bits on netmums and freegle. I've have had some responses already which is fab. Hopefully my house news will remain positive as the vendor's surveyor has been in touch to book an appointment.
Yesterday I spent most of the day sanding and painting. My child free days have come to an end now though, but I'm fairly pleased with what i've achieved over the last couple of days. I've quietly been flying the flag for being an independent, single mom!One step at a time0 -
Gemmzie - hope things get sorted out soon.
Horace - the vendors are clearly mad. If they didn't like your offer, they shouldn't have accepted it. What does your parents' solicitor say?
Aesop - have they consistently been paying late, or do they now owe you three months' money? Either way, it sounds as if they are sailing close to the wind financially, so it makes sense to get out before you find yourself out of a job and owed money because they've gone under.
Positive vibes all round... please can you send back some get well ones. I have another cold and sore throat and am stupidly getting stressed that either I'll get pneumonia again, or it will damage my throat more, as my voice was starting to recover properly.0 -
Poor Greenbee ((hugs)), sending you some positive vibes for getting healthier, and more for all the others who are stressing about life and work.
I am having a pretty stressful time myself, but I am feeling positive that it will all work out in the end. I have lots to do this weekend to take advantage of the four day free listing on ebay, and hopefully spending some decent time with the family. Hope the weather is good to us!Sealed pot Challenge 2011 member No 1241 - Final total £154.21
