    Rest is boring...

... I would blame my nephew, but I think the cold started on the last day in Stockholm... probably too much too soon. I really struggled pushing my nephew up a hill today - apparently it takes time to recover  as far as I'm concerned, I've spent enough time being ill and I want a chance to get fit before my June hospital appointment. Otherwise I might as well just retire to my bed and eat chocolate...

Stuff posted over the other side for anyone looking at CVs and linkedin... I have got my paperwork out but haven't actually done the updates. Time for hot water bottles and beds, as I have a 9am client call which means waking the laptop up about an hour beforehand...
  • ClootiesMum... I'd invite anyone and everyone but it's MG's house :)

CVs.... eurgh. The recruitment agency today said mine needs some work... she wanted to talk to me again about possibly applying for her recruitment consultant role but I think it's got too much hard selling for me... now I'm wondering about askin occ health about a staggered return to work, I was flying fine before my ear perforated so I'm sure i'd be fine now!

Late post from me. Everyone is busy, busy, busy!!

I've been researching tonight fpr the online post i've applied for, in the hope that I will be offered an interview. It will be quite heavy going but in an area i'm interested in.

I've received an offer on the house but have to err on the side of caution. The potential buyer has made previous offers on properties and not seen them through. The EA is going to leave the house on the market until either the buyer kicks up a fuss or contracts are exchanged. I will be in deficit of 2.5k with the mortgage but I do not want to risk the house being repossessed and sold for a silly amount. If anyone has the energy left to send some positive thoughts out it would be much appreciated!

FW - it sounds like you need to take some time to look after yourself. I think MG will set you straight though ;)

MG - have a fab week and safe journey. You too, Psycho!

Clootiesmom - your post made me chuckle. I did exactly the same recently. Well, if you don't ask......:p Enjoy the party ;)

Eeeeek snow!!! Brrr drive carefully. Can't believe the forecasters got it right!! They'd predicted it here for today but not signs, it's a bright probably slightly chilly start.

You're right. I will take another 2.5k debt just to be rid of 'him'. He is choosing not to contact his children which makes me so mad. Without the financial tie I can focus on them. He has done this 'no contact' thing intermittently since we split. The 1st time impacted a lot on my eldest and he is still having counselling. I'm doing a lot of talking around positive thinking and giving him strategies to deal with his Dad. Thankfully this time round it seems to be working.

I like the idea of visualising the next family moving in. I never thought to take that next step in my thinking. They sound like a great family, I'd like to meet them :rotfl:

For the 1st time in a long time, I have some child free days!! Today is about coffee with different friends in various locations. The next 2 will probably be about sanding and painting....I know how to live :p

    Have a good day everyone!

Anyone who thinks the first night after moving into a new house is about anything other than flopping onto a bed fully clothed (because you can't find your PJs) is either a lot more energetic or a lot more organised than I would be:rotfl:
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

:rotfl: Oh, Amen Maryb, Amen!! :) :rotfl:

Morning Matrix! Another early start chez Rickett, by choice for me though, unlike poor hubby who is having a very stressful time at work just at the moment. Poor darling. His bosses really trust him and think the world of him, which is nice, but they aren't half putting lots of work on his plate. He is getting home late practically every night AND he is working weekends too. I am trying to make life as easy as possible for him, and I know he appreciates it. Last night when he came home from work he took Dotty out for a very long walk to, as he put it, "work out some of the stress". :D

Yesterday was an excellent day - really productive, but utterly, utterly exhausting. It was kind of tricky as well because I had a lot of stuff to do, but I also had appointments to keep - like Dotty at the vet and then I had choir practice. I made it to both, and got about three-quarters of the way through my list as well. Which is pretty darned good for me! :D I did find out that Dotty is not keen on the hoover. She was torn between running at it to protect me and running away and hiding :A :D

Today, I have another list, which is shorter than the one yesterday. I have some cooking to do - Stewing Rhubarb, making rhubard and ginger muffins, making some chocolate chip cookies - and then I have a the twin peaks of Mount Washmore and Mount Ironmore to tackle! Luckily, all other chores and jobs seem to be under control at the moment.

Hope everyone has a good day and has safe travels in the crazy weather we are having. So much for Spring, huh?! Blimey... I hope last week wasn't Summer!!:D
