OMG. What a tremendously AWFUL day I have had.
You do not want to know the kind of thoughts I have been having today. :(

You want to know the amazing thing? Last night before Choir Practice I sat and wrote down a letter to the Universe thanking it for the abundance in my life and thanking it for the things it is going to give me. Including the way out of my present job. I was not expecting it to be so erm... immediate and emphatic, but it is definitely the Universe giving me an !!!! kicking! :(

Crickett, am really excited you are going to be a puppy mummy :D Gorgeous dog, looks like good trouble to me :D

so sorry you are having a hard time at work. I went to work today and got told someone who used to work with me was complaining about me last week that I was rude. Hmmmm, they were drunk and getting on my nerves during work time! So I told them how it was, that we had the situation under control and to let us get on with it..... he didn't like it because he was drunk. but it was deja vu... had the same convo last year that I was rude and didn't listen to him when he was talking to me....

    ho hum. playground time.... children....

the Universe has been a bit keen to find you another job LOL, but how good you have thought of 3 things to replace it.

I wish you the best of luck with all this, and if they want to point fingers at you for going on internet at lunchtime, they should be looking at other people in your team and the business' conduct.

Any recommendations of somewhere nice to eat in Stockholm so I can take OH out tomorrow night? He's miserable and grumpy on is own in Gothenburg tonight, so I thought I'd arrange something nice for when h'e gets here.

There is Internet access in the hotel... I want to take him out for a walk and some fresh air and keep him away from work once I've reminded him how much he's missed me!

My colleague's other half works in Stockholm and she sometimes goes there for a weekend. She is raving about the Swedish Smorgasbord. If you can find a restaurant serving it then worth going.

I have been swinging applications here and there and everywhere and got lots of agent interest. No interviews as yet. And not a beep from my home land. I have a plan but more about it later. We just got back from swimming lesson with DD and she needs tea pronto and to be put to bed.

Crickett - while going through the process get them from unfair dismissal and get handsome compensation that can then work as your starting capital. It is not the end, it is the beginning.

Thanks Marru - BTW Helsinki was fab and if you are there I will be visiting you :-) we really didn't see enough of it, but the hotel was out of the city, on the seashore (the one used for high-powered international conferences between the US AND USSR in the past...) so we managed a walk on the sea and of course made the most of the sauna and pool... Although we weren't brave enough to go out into the snow or swim in the frozen sea!

I'm not sure, but I think we might be recruiting so will check and get back to you...

Oh, and I appear to have tomorrow afternoon free as one of my meetings has been cancelled :D

Outside the sun is puddling liquid gold over the slate roofs - am I strange in that my preferred "landscape" is actually "roofscapes" rather than the sea, mountains or green stuff?

    MG

I guess its where ever you feel 'at home'. I lived for 3 years in a large northern city having been brought up in a seaside town a stones throw from the mountains. I liked living in the city but never felt I belonged. It wasn't until we moved here that I realised what it was. I have a real need to live on the edge of the land. Having mountains as our back garden now is just a bonus but I need to be able to see the edge of land.............a bit weird??:rotfl:

Love today's blog MG and re-inspired to be me as I try to pay things forward and treat my career/profession as a service to the community I work in (sorry if that sounds a bit corny but that's how I feel about it)
