  • Hello all!

I had a hideous day at work today, but it all got better when I went shopping for some stuff for Dotty! :) She now has a squeaky piggy toy, a nice big bowl for water and a ceramic food bowl for her other fodder. :D And she has a cute collar as well. So the only things we need to get her now are the ID tag for her collar, and a nylon bone so she has things to chew. :D

Then I went to Choir practice, which I haven't been to for quite a while, and I really enjoyed it! We are rehearsing Rachmaninov's Vespers and blinking heck it is high!! But it is lovely!! Should be a great concert.

Right... time for bed I think! :D One sleep closer to having a dog in the house! :D

That is EXACTLY how I feel, I have a bag of stuff in the car to go to charity and am SO looking forward to the next two weeks.

I have to do the cupboard emptying thing too!

    xx
    Nevertheless she persisted.

Aw ladies -hope you are not planning to spend ALL your holidays decluttering.

Crickett - you are "nesting" - getting ready for your furbaby. We can't wait till you get her and her all about your adventures together.

First day of my "post before bed - publish in the morning" habit for the blog - I even logged in this morning to find some early bird had been, had read and had commented:j

Weather report for next week is supposed to be "Fine" - don't know how I will cope if I am on a Scottish Island with no haar, fog and horizontal sunshine (the wet kind BTW) - we "May" even need sunscreen with us:eek:

Outside the sun is puddling liquid gold over the slate roofs - am I strange in that my preferred "landscape" is actually "roofscapes" rather than the sea, mountains or green stuff?

Lovely morning here though cold. Read the blog after hanging washing on line, was surprised to see one of last years strawberry plants sporting new growth, how great is that?
Need to wash hair then off to gym and Aqua Zumba before doing a bit more decluttering and trying out some of the crafting stuff I was treated to last week.

    What a treat of a day.:D

Early start for also today. The Doctor has finally fond out the cause of all my mysterious and varied symptoms:jI have an under active thyroid - this happened 1st when I started with ME and seemed to have righted itself. Now I have the tablets these pesky, irritating, frustarting symptoms should start to go, I was strangely relieved to be told this as I was convinced I was having a major relapse.
Todays plan is to start to reline my pond - last done many years ago. We got the liner at the weekend, moved all the stones yesterday and today I start to empty it. Shouldn't be too hard as the water level is quite low. Got to capture all the newts and frogs though:eek:
Quick housework blitz and then time to get down and dirty.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Get on the right tablets robsmum - you will feel your old self in no time. At least now they have found out what is up they can deal with it. By the summer you will be flying.

Read a 300 page Management book yesterday - the next one I have to Mind Map - and I am struggling cos out of 300 pages there are 3, yup! THREE principles worth extracting.

So I am thinking two things

    1. Easy peasy Mind Map to create

    2. I am writing the wrong b***dy books:rotfl::rotfl:

Up with the lark this morning and had breakfast - I am now getting used to having breakfast in the mornings. Hopefully I will start losing weight now that I am eating 3 meals a day although sometimes I might have some snacks in between in the form of fruit. I am trying not to have chocolate binges (I had one last week:(), in an attempt to curb this I shall have to treat myself to a bar of G&B's Cherry Choc which is incredibly dark chocolate with sour cherries in it - I can make a bar of this last at least a month:D

I am writing my divorce papers - more that I have to complete. I have had to give my address and fear that my big fat fib will be revealed (I had told ex that I was living elsewhere and not where I have been living all along (where I am typing this from), this was partly due to me not wanting him to know whilst I got myself together after a fairly serious breakdown in 2007.

We still have to discuss money, however, I did tick the box on the original forms that I lodged with the court that I wanted a lump sum. I do not want to be left with nothing but my furniture as I have paid into that household e.g. weekly food shops, any nicknacks, books, all ferry costs for trips to Holland plus all entrance fees to motorbike rallies that we went to. It would be great to discuss such matters with him but he doesnt ring me and rarely answers the phone. I wonder what the court will do because I ticked the lump sum box?
  • Hi Ladies

Thank you for your help the other day. I've decided it would be stupid financially to wait it out on SSP without the guarantee I could fly again after it all. So, regrettably, I'm going into work tomorrow to tell them I have to leave. I have to send my cv today to a recruitment company who have been expecting it since last week... I bought a dress yesterday for interviews.

I really don't want to leave, but I have to try my best to view it as an opportunity and a chance to get some office work experience again, and lose the sick history, before I complete my degree and start thinking about my future career.

Bold Step hon - now you are committed to a course of action you can start taking the right steps towards your new life.

If I were you though - I would leave off speaking to work until you have an offer and a start date - you don't want to be in a position where you can't get help if you need it because you have been seen to resign.

But then I fly between being an "all or nothing" and a "belt and braces" kind of lass.

Good luck in finding the perfect next step
