Thanks Aesop - will do that. Why does stuff like this always happen on a Saturday when you can't talk to a person???
DS1 is feeling a little better but had requested more of the Lemon Cordial - so for everyone that is "poorly" today I have put the recipe up. L**l have got lemons on offer BTW if you fancy making a batch.
Off to get a wiggle on

That's worried me MG. I know I did mine, and made the payment, but have no idea where their emails are. I will have to log on to my proper laptop sometime and make sure everything is downloaded and can be found.
Think the new pills may be working, as I managed some sleep last night. I did keep waking up in a puddle of sweat from very odd dreams, and in one case my brain was having a debate with itself about their factual accuracy! It's not like I'm making documentaries... Or that it was a subject I knew anything about... So certainly not worth waking me up to get my opinion on!
Three batches of ham, mushroom and cream sauce shoehorned into the freezer. Need to decant chicken stock and put it in the fridge later. Yogurt for breakfast was nice. Sun is shining again (I could be getting SO much done in the garden) so windows are open for lots of fresh air.

If you log into your online account, the first page will show you the last time you logged in, and then goto Self Assessment (SA) and on the right hand side it will say
Tax Year Ending 05 April 2011.
then underneath than when HMRC recived your tax return.
That is your proof too that it was submitted on time.0 -
Thanks Aesop. And my bank account has proof of when the payment was made too...0

Woohoo Groatie that is brilliant news, hope everything goes smoothly.
MG, I second what the others have said about looking at your online account. Mine shows when I submitted. It also reminds me that I must do DHs tax reclaim before we run out of money!'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -
Great news GQ That is fantastic. Hope the negotiations go well on the new place0

Fab news about the house Groatie.
Talking of houses - my parents have reduced their offer on my potential abode following the survey (the offer was made subject to survey in the first place). There is no lintel above the front living room window nor the kitchen window and the walls above both are starting to sag. New lintels and windows required. The roof has no ventilation so the question is now is whether or not the roof was replaced in accordance with building regs - again more cost. The garden path in the back garden is dangerous and needs replacing but I can do that with the help of some chums in exchange for food and cake (I have noticed that quite a few of my chums would do anything for cake:D). The fuse box is dangerous - this we knew about anyway.
Due to the lintels needing to be done the decoration needs to be redone again more cost. I told mum about the £40 B&Q vouchers that I have got so she told me to look at their paint - draw up a list of what I want and give her the vouchers. I thought this odd so she said that if I gave her the vouchers then she should go on a Wednesday and get 10% off as it was pensioners' discount day - then it made sense. She suggested that I paint everything magnolia - now magnolia is not bad but it sure is boring (my flat is magnolia throughout). I can see myself painting over wallpaper until such time as I can afford something better.
Greenbee I am glad you are feeling a bit better and feel sure that you will soon be up and at 'em:D0 -
Is it wrong of me to be so excited that I have been able to hang my washing on the line for the first time this year and it is blowing in the sun, althought there is a slight chill in the air still?
And I have my first open crocus of the year in my garden.:j0 -
Morning
Interview went well in that I think I gave the other candidtaes a run for their money and I felt I didnt disgrace myself - I was so nervous! Given 4 questions before going in to interview and I made notes on the sheet - MG you would have been happy a lovely MM - shame I didnt have any coloured pens:rotfl:
I dont think I have been selected because usually in this sector you get to hear on the same day and its the one question I forgot to ask - "when will I hear?":o There is someone currently in post having been drafted in from elsewhere on a temporary basis and I know they had applied for it so I am trying to remain up beat but I have a feeling it will go to them.
Thanks for all the positivity - I really could feel it:):)
So onwards and upwards - plans to make and stuff to do. Feel Like I have been in a bit of a fug since the beginning of the year. Lovely bright breezy day here - perfect drying weather. OH out all day flying and DD2 out all day at orchestra practice so I have no excuses. A big declutter planned..............after coffee and cake;)Be the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi
