Enjoy your tea in the bath Groatie :) I know hex celebrates with tea and Georgette Heyer in the bath - I usually have wine, but agree on the reading!

Have had chicken soup again, and ice cream. Forgot to give OH the food that needs using up, so am slowly prepping mushrooms and leeks to cook up and freeze.

woohoo :j Groatie Queen. Well done  this week has been full of good news.

Just need good news from Igamogam and Crickett about their jobs now :)

I used to keep mine for 6 years, but I think nowadays, you can easily ask for anything older than 2 years if you really need too.
  • Thanks all. More shredding on Sunday I think - no point moving old bank statements if not absolutely necessary. It's just hit me that I won't need to 'showhome' this house again. Hurrah! In the meantime the tulips I bought for the viewing are looking gorgeous.

Off for that cuppa in the bath.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

Groatie, if it's an easy job, could you scan the older statements to your computer before shredding? You never know when bank policies may change and they start to charge, if they don't already:eek:

Hi groatie, so pleased you've accepted an offer and I'm with you on the lack of 'imposed' cleaning requirements once your house is under offer, the hoover has been able to relax back into its usual lazy state :)

Hi all. I have ground to a halt tonight. I feel completely flat but have loved catching up with all the good news posts. We just need the poorly people to get better and we're onto a winner.

Despite my mood, I've managed to write an email I meant to do 3 days ago. Shortly I'm off to bed to read some old loan paperwork, as I am convinced a previously rejected PPI claim should have been accepted. I'm hoping the evidence I need will be in a box full of paperwork I found stashed away at my ex's.

I need to banish my very red thoughts and replace them with positive green ones :)...this will be particularly useful when entertaining several lads for the eldest DS's birthday party tomorrow  :D

Fantastic news on the house sales ladies - I need some positivity for my ds to sell his flat soon........ spring is in the air (slightly) so hopefully there will be a sale soon.

Hope you are feeling better soon Greenbee and everyone else - sounds like there have been some real nasty bugs about. Take care <3

Great news on the house sale Groatie - that must be a big relief and good luck with getting the place you have your eye on :D.

Hope the job situation and interviewing works out for those looking and hugs to the poorly people. Just getting over a very lingering lurgy myself and beginning to get some energy back at last.
  • I was just writing a blog post about how I no longer dread the postie arriving .................. when he did.

With a letter from hmrc saying I haven't submitted my return in time:mad::mad:

Grrrrrrr - you know I did, I did it online well before the deadline. Anyone else been given a hundred pound fine? Got to be a mistake there somewhere.

did you get email notification that it had been successfully submitted? If so, print it off and send it to them as proof it was submitted on time. Have you logged in to check when you were last logged in? that should show you when you submitted it too.
