Brilliant news FW - I am glad that he has got his start, I know its not his forever job because he and Richard Branson have been having loads of chats in my "boardroom" when I have been programming my day recently. So I just KNOW he is destined for a sparkling future. (this is all guided visualisation stuff a la Mindstore BTW - Richard is NOT one of the mentors LOL)

Had BFO this morning - maybe even a BFBO (Blinding flash of the bleedin obvious) as I watch my life slowly begin to come into alignment.

DS2's playgroup are now offering extended hours - in reality he could attend from 8.30am right through to 2.30pm (when he is a little older obviously). This would cost me a grand total of £6 per week once the CTC pick up the balance.

Now forgive me - but that is a whole 6 hours (and they are three minutes away). That is a full-time job ................... but as we have looked at before, probably not a minimum wage job in the village.

So..................... my aim is to spend between now and Sept working on increasing readership of the MFinthree challenge, doing the challenges obviously, increasing my twitter contacts and building a decent FB MFinthree page so that I can find another two people to work with to produce Mind Maps for their training materials............. possibly even from abroad, or at least to find consultancy work to fill some of the space, bring in a little more money to allow me to start some of the other revenue streams.

So six months to figure out this social networking stuff then LOL

BTW I have all but finished a couple of series that have been requested, so on Saturdays we will be doing "Stuff in jars" and Sundays "things for "The Baking Tin" - they will run right up till Christmas, so have fun ( yes the tablet will be there LOL)

Today - my frog is to prime all the timber for the bairns room - Oooh I know how to live

Oooh Greenbee it sounds grim - hope you are through the worst now. Wrap up and keep the fluids topped up :)
So I am ready in smart black dress new shoes and acessories - OH and DD2 agreed that I looked the part - amazing what a focussed mind will do in 20 mins in T*sco. Thank goodness for 24/7 shopping :) In reality I would never look like this in my normal everyday work wear but I need to have an aura of authority if nothing else.

    Good luck :)

OH has just spoken to the GP who is giving me another prescription to swap to if I'm not showing signs of improvement tomorrow. Had a nice bath, which cooled me down a bit and am now feeling a bit less grubby. Managed to put chicken stock on this morning (defrosted chicken wings last night, shoved in and onion, leek tops, carrot, tomatoes, bay leaf and peppercorns this morning... Just realised forgot celery and parsley, both of which need using so might go and add them now). Apparently my current intake (half a tin of tomato soup Monday, half and tin Tuesday, glass of grapefruit juice Wednesday, and pot of jelly and three spoons of lemon sorbet Thursday) is not nutritionally balanced.

And to top it all off, I have spots on my shoulders and chest. I might just go and sulk :(

  • Pah!!!! You sulk all you want hon. If I had the petrol and the childcare I would be right down in "Jewish / Catholic" Mama mode making the soup for you.

    Keep the fluids up hon

Greenbee sorry to hear that you are now spotty - it is because you are run down. Chicken soup will sort you out and when you feel up to it (I know you are still feeling meh) then go out for a short walk. Your lurgy sounds dreadful.

Good Luck to Igamogam - sending vibes as I type.

MG - find a room to rent in a venue - so that they provide tea/coffee and biccies and run a half day workshop in mindmapping. Sell this workshop to business owners - use eventbrite so that you can take earlybird bookings at a lesser price by a certain date and after that people pay full price. Not teaching granny to suck eggs but ensure that your charge covers the cost of the venue and refreshments and anything else left over is profit.

Had another look at the divorce forms..I clearly state that I left the marital home in late 2007 - so I think I will take up my friend's offer of a look over the papers before I submit them. I was never formally separated from him - I had fully intended to go back but realised that my life is better without him in it.

Blepharitis is back - I wonder if I am allergic to the Jerome Alexander powder that I use because the blepharitis occurs immediately after using it.

FW - well done to your DS for getting a job with the Co-op - they do look after their staff and are great people to work for.

Oops... Had to throw out rather a lot from the veg drawer... The celery didn't need using up, it was making itself into soup :o so various bits are in the bin and others are waiting for the drawer to be cleaned and go back in. OH will either be doing a lot of cooking this afternoon or taking lots of stuff away with him (he's not going to be allowed to stay in this germy atmosphere).

Windows open and air circulating. Just need to work out how to keep myself occupied so I don't get myself too stressed. Need to remember to get OH to ask about a sick note when he picks up the new prescription and break the news to my boss that I'm not planning on doing much next week either! Some work is good, as it keeps me busy, but anything that involves my brain is a bit risky.

Keep meaning to say, HUGE congrats to FW's DS on the job. Well done him for persevering and I'm sure he'll be an asset to them.

    feel better soon greenbee.

I took 2 weeks paid leave from work to look for a new job, I became ill on Tuesday off the first week, my first child free day, and had to go to the Dr on Tuesday this week, (2nd week) and ask for antibiotics. Only just starting to feel human again, and back to work on Tuesday :(

Get your Dr to do you a sicknote and claim your leave back, you should be able to do that.

Day off also on leave, had a rubbish work week but am now putting into action the 'real' career rather than the other one I've been doing for over a decade.

So business cards to be ordered and some flyers too, plus a bit more work on my website.

    Hope everyone's day is a productive one.:D
