Broadband packed up yesterday and didn't return until 7am today. I could have done with the company during the night, as I only managed about an hour's continuous sleep. However, I have had a bag full of antibiotics delivered and am hoping they will start to kill the bugs soon. OH is allowed over once I have been taking them for 24 hours so hopefully will appear tomorrow. I might even be hungry by then! Thoughts of jelly and ice cream and yogurt did occur to mr during the night but I have nothing like that in the house and am still struggling to swallow lime cordial and fizzy water so they may be a bit ambitious.
  • Hope you soon feel better Greenbee, Dorastar and any others with the lurgy..

Positive good job vibes for Crickett, Igamogam and Marru.

I was up early and the kitchen and bathroom are done. The house is showhome tidy and I just need to do the final clean, polish and finishing touches. I bought some pretty tulips last night for the sitting room (the same variety that are in the photos on Rightmove). The couple coming for their second viewing will be here at 4.00pm, so I've plenty of time. Each successive de-clutter has made the preparation for viewing easier.

I just need the weather to stay dry, as there are two small leaks in the garage roof. I have the stuff to fix them, but it will take longer than I have today. Always something needing done isn't there?!
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

  • Home with 5kg of onions - eeep!!!

And good news - un-waxed lemons are on at 29p for three. Three lemons make three 500ml pots of lemon marmalade so will treat myself to some seeing as my Mum snaffled the rest of mine.

Grab the trusty screw driver and retrieve washing, closely examine the door, quick search on the internet and £10.48 later part ordered and I can fix it myself.:jThank you agin you deserve a virtual cuppa for popping into my head.

Hope all the lurgy sufferers are feeling better, I think it's finally left our house.

I am going to grab that and make it the introduction to the book when we all get around to writing it - made me hoot out loud

T shirt with "WWMGD?" anyone :rotfl::rotfl:

BTW - I do this too - cos I am not "MG" all the time, sometimes I am a wibbly, wobbly, insecure fearty .................... but when I begin to "channel the indominatable MG" - I feel I can tackle anything.

DS1 still snotting everywhere - so I have made him a lemon and ginger syrup and explained how it is better than any cold remedy. Tastes pretty good too.

Now these onions are staring at me from the corner - I had better put my thinking cap on.:D

    Gosh you have been busy.

I have spent most of the morning on the phone - I have now switched my electricity supplier for the flat to UW and now pay £11 less than I do to Scottish Power. Must admit that I have decided to keep my mobile phone where it is for now because it seems that because I no longer have a credit card that hasnt been stopped I cannot pay 1p on it and therefore I am considered a risk with regards to a new phone. I could pay £10 for a SIM card which would give me 500 mins and 500 txts and then pay £20 a month for 3 months to demonstrate that I am a reliable customer before I could change my phone. I may as well stick with what I have for now even though it is costing slightly more...I felt as though I was being coerced to change when I haven't really decided if I shall keep the phone or ditch it at the end of the contract anyway (contract expires on 22 July - cost to get out of the contract is £187.16). I shall make this decision in my own time.

Need to do the applicaiton form for the college - I have got as far as looking at it but not writing on it. I also need to finish the divorce papers and resubmit them. Again, it is taking time - I haven't been procrastinating - I am having difficulty with my eyesight (need those new specs) and the blepharitis is back:(

Didnt look at the lemons or anything else in Lidl yesterday - I headed straight for the loo rolls and got 24 for £9.99:eek:

Good luck for all of those looking at new jobs. Gorgeous weather here, but I'm just looking at it, not going out. Currently waiting for a friend to drop off more tissues and some jelly, in the hope that it'll help my throat. I'm sure the antibiotics are working, as although I feel terrible, the coughing is less frequent. Windows are open so I can get some fresh air too.

Sadly my parents' dog was put to sleep yesterday, which was hard for them, but a relief that she is no longer suffering. The cat, however, keeps looking for her. Yep, the cat who used to go 'dog? What dog?' whenever they were in the same room
