My friend has a test this wed for a teacher's assistant job in a local school, and if she does well, she will be interviewed the next day. She doesn't know what kind of questions they may ask her.

Will try and dig out our questions from work and PM you tomorrow evening if that would help?

Grrr for colds that won't go away - this one is doing my nut in and I am ready for it to depart asap. Back to school all round tomorrow so preparations well under way and the european washing mountain now looks more like a hill. List of things to do is scarily long atm and the cold is making each step take longer than normal so am forcing my way slowly down the list but not enjoying things much.:(

Aesop - what age range is the job? If it's reception, then some knowledge of the early years foundation stage and the six areas of learning will help.

Oooh won a sofa bed on ebay for £140. I hope it's nice!!! Well, it can't be worse than the horrible futon we have already :rotfl:

Greenbee and Dora, hope you feel better soon!

Good luck with the job Igamogam, sound like you've done a great application.

Claire - what a baking spree, I'm so jealous :)

I'm not sure, I need to check with her, as I pointed her in the direction of several school jobs. Will check tomorrow and post.

Thank you so much everyone who has already posted suggestions, I will email and let her know.

fingers crossed she gets it :)

Lara, hope the sofa bed is what you want, fingers crossed :) x

    Morning Ladies

Boys are a bit out of sorts this morning -both got up a bit grumpy and DS2 is refusing breakfast ........ looks like we are about to do "school bugs round 2"

Got a spendy morning ahead as I need to buy the books for the "Book of the Year" job that I do - it will get refunded from the business account but gets paid by me first. Still it is nice to think that 1% of the mortgage is on its way (after a month of reading and Mind Mapping of course)

............... and a quick call to the carpenter to let him know the taping is done and he can come back and finish up.

    Busy day today?

    Pension Provision £6688/£2376
  • Reasonably busy today - stuff to dump, CS and auction house (household intake this week, so some garden stuff too good for freegle is going). The freegle bits have all been collected.

I also need to sort out a new electricity contract, without getting penalised when I move house, so time for a bit of research.

Apart from that, I haven't yet been brave enough to get on with trying the Magic Loop knitting, so will have a bash this afternoon.
If you have a talent, use it in every which way possible. Don't hoard it. Don't dole it out like a miser. Spend it lavishly like a millionaire intent on going broke.

    Good luck Crickett :)

Called the GP and the insistence of the friend's I walk with and I have to go in at 11:( obviously there is something nasty going round as persistent cough, about a week, and feeling feverish didn't get the 'take two aspirin and stop moaning' response I was looking for...

I have so much work to do, and clearly it isn't going to get done. Looks as if I will also have to cancel ( or at least postpone) pancake day :( which is annoying as I have a fridge full of food and I am unlikely to eat any of it myself.
  • Great interview vibes on their way to crickett.

House/flat packing up vibes to the home movers - Kittikins, is your move this week?

Get well vibes to greenbee and dora.

Yes MG, a busy day here for me. Still more paperwork and clutter to clear plus getting organised for a couple of trips away over the next few days. As the physical clutter clears bit by bit, the brain clutter is also clearing and I now have a better idea of what I want to do to produce an income.
